Anytime that Quasimodo opens his mouth he reveals to the voter how stupid that he really is. He doesn't need any help from any other idiots.

I would say there is very little negative that Nelson O'Donnell or his cult can truly bring about Sheriff Coyle other than made up rumor and outright lies. Sheriff Coyle is a humbling and good man but Nelson needs to tread lightly. If he pisses off and awakens the sleeping giant, Nelson has a shit storm of dusty skeletons just waiting to be turned loose and an arsenal of Nelsons former co-workers ready to back the skeletons up.

Let’s look at Facts in Evidence

O’Donnell said in a recent interview that he will tighten the current fiscal waste in the department and claimed in this local radio interview that he had to work with far less money during his term than Sheriff Combs.

FACT: Sheriff Combs was denied access to the agency by then sheriff O’Donnell when Combs won the election in 2010 and was trying to prepare his 2011 budget proposal. Judge Clark took over the budget proposal and cut Sheriff Comb’s 2011 budget by thousands and thousands of dollars compared to O’Donnell’s 2010 budget.

O’Donnell claims to be fiscally responsible and insinuates the current administration is not.

FACT: The final review of O’Donnell’s previous four year term was a deficit of hundreds of thousands of dollars over budget. This is money the tax payers of Madison County have had to cover. A recent audit of the current administration has shown that from January 2011 to date, the current administration is $18,000.00 under budget. He also claims that during his administration and under his leadership the CKDTF seized over a million dollars in cash. If that is true, why was his four year term financial status so over budget?

O’Donnell claims that he alone was responsible for the forming of the Central Kentucky Drug Task Force and that the current administration dismantled it shortly after taking office.

FACT: O’Donnell did organize the initiation of the CKDTF but to claim sole responsibility is the very egotistical reason it failed. A task force is just that, a force of many agencies. When the current administration took over, almost all participating agencies had or were in the process of pulling out. Their reasoning was that O’Donnell consistently wanted their financial and manpower support but rarely wanted to or even worked cases in their jurisdictions unless it directly related to Madison County. With the pull out of the associated agencies, the State of Kentucky not the current administration then stepped in and because the task force no longer met the multi-agency requirement of the grant that was funding the task force, the grant funding was ordered withdrawn by the state and this forced the task force to shut down. Another fact is that Sheriff Combs and then Chief Deputy Mike Coyle lobbied hard in Frankfort and was able to secure the task force assets and equipment to be assumed by the sheriff’s department for the benefit of Madison County. Sheriff Comb’s then formed the agency’s very own drug unit and Berea PD continued it's cooperation with the unit to serve the City of Berea.

O’Donnell claims that by the end of his term he had single handily rid Madison County of Meth production.

FACT: At the end of O’Donnell’s term, Meth production in all of Kentucky was declining and it was not because of any fear of the CKDTF or Nelson O’Donnell. Kentucky’s crack down of the sale and purchase of Meth production components had forced druggies to look elsewhere for their poison and at this time the incline of prescription pain meds were on the rise and meth production was on the decline not only in rural Madison County but cities like Richmond, Berea and Lexington. Another example is the rise in Heroine use. The State of Kentucky now cracking down on pain clinics and prescription medicine abuse has caused the druggies to bringing back the Heroine that was popular in the past. The current Madison County Narcotic’s Unit is fighting the good fight as is units from other cities and state but no one human being can claim a current total annihilation of drugs in Madison County.

O’Donnell claims he has so much more experience, expertise and knowledge which make him a far better choice for the job of Sheriff than the current Sheriff Mike Coyle.

FACT: O’Donnell was a KSP Trooper, so was Sheriff Coyle. O’Donnell was a KSP narcotics officer, so was Sheriff Coyle. O’Donnell worked on the Governors protection staff, so did Sheriff Coyle. Here is where it changes, O’Donnell was a detective for the Madison County Sheriff’s Department prior to being sheriff and his lack of leadership as sheriff led to numerous law suits, department personnel in total chaos and department financial status in total disarray. Sheriff Coyle served the Madison County Sheriff's Department as Chief Deputy, served in the sheriff’s capacity while Sheriff Combs was sick and at the passing of Sheriff Combs, was named interim Sheriff and later Sheriff based on his display of leadership, knowledge and fiscal responsibility. Also during O’Donnell’s term, his command staff was comprised of a Chief Deputy who is a wonderful, wonderful person and was an exceptional KSP Trooper but had absolutely no supervisory, command training or command experience. O’Donnell also promoted a pay and disbursements clerk with absolutely no law enforcement training or experience not to mention supervisory or command training or experience, to the rank of Major in command of a group of law enforcement deputies. O’Donnell also promoted a single detective that smoked more cigarettes during a day’s time than he had open investigated cases in a year. The current administration has a current skilled staff comprised of a former KSP Major, a former RPD Assistant Chief, a former RPD Major and a two man investigative unit led by a former Highpoint North Carolina PD Lieutenant. This investigative unit alone has already investigated hundreds and hundreds of cases and works closely with detectives from Richmond, Berea and KSP.

Now don’t take my word for it, all these listed facts are documented. The agency is currently running smooth and functioning in all areas. The patrol section now has some new vehicles to better enhance their service to the public. Accompanying equipment is being acquired at no cost from the United States military as well as the Kentucky State Police and all to enhance the agency. Court paper service was so behind when taking over from the previous administration and while it has been slow getting back up and running, paper service is up. The court security staff has been increased, prisoner transport miles are at an all-time high and all these areas again have been done on a far less budget than O’Donnell’s 2010 budget and with a recent $18,000.00 under budget report from Frankfort. Sheriff Coyle was also a former KSP public affairs officer so he knows the value of an open office and being accessible to the public. Now, who do you really think the better choice for Sheriff is?

Facts in evidence has been the most intelligent post on this subject. It has been informative and challenges the reader to research the candidates qualities. I have just moved to the county and don't know either men so I think I now know what I have to do.

I spoke to a friend today about this poll and was advised it is crap.

He said Nelson has 160 plus votes with only 3 ips voting more than once, as in 157 plus people have clicked Nelsons name.

Mike however is a different story. He has 160 plus votes all placed from four places. Yep, 4 people are sitting on their asses snorting pills and clicking Mikes name.

So we have 150 plus people clicking Nelsons name and 4 clicking Mikes.

Sorry you bunch of dimwits, Mike loses, Nelson wins, and Richmond is once again a safer area.

Not to mention it is kinda nuts for you to lay in bed masturbating to Mikes Election signs, and I wonder does he know you sick individuals do that?

Taking votes from Nelson is as easy as taking candy from a baby! You don't have a clue on how to politic in Madison County. You have your head so far up Nelson's old ass that you can't think for yourself. I challenge you to go into the East end of Richmond and see how many votes that you can get for Nelson but you won't go because you are scared of what they will tell you!

Why would one go to the east end to ask?
Most in that area are in fact criminals, felons, wanted, or illiterate.
No wonder you wouldn't pull a Nelson vote, dip stick, he most likely has out them in jail.
Sure certain areas won't pull like others, dumb a$$.
Guaranteed Nelson won't be supported where the scum criminals are, BUT U CAN BET WHO WILL BE !!!!!!!!

But then he could not toss low life dealing dope trash in the jail.

But do not be too afraid. If you wind up in jail, you can ask for a cell next to your dope dealing friends. You can all stick together when the bad guys come to make you their bitches.

Yep side by side on your knees wishing you had never heard of dope. Now open wide.......

Mike Coyle is in the party of Harry Reid, nancy Pelosi,, ghetto mayors, Barack Obama, etc. I don't trust people who can't see how this party is destroying freedoms. Nelson has promised to protect our freedoms. Nelson for sheriff 2014. Do a search of "investigation into Mike Coyle".

You Sir, are exactly right. Elect Mike Coyle, and when his hero Obama calls and says get the gun, he and his staff will take your guns or shoot you.

Suit yourself, live free and watch dopers go to jail, or elect Mike and wait for them to come for your property.

The Facts show Nelson arrested hundreds of dopers. Page after page of dope dealer names in the paper of the criminals he jailed results in thousands of children saved from he shit these trashy people peddled.

But the current appointed Sheriff has yet to post one. In fact, the only thing I have seen is the suspicion that he was somehow involved in keeping some piece of human waste that crushed some woman's face in free from jail.

Between the two, I will vote for the Sheriff that arrests criminals.

These posters staunchly defending Coyle are the very same dopers that rallied and voted the sign thief into office rather than jailing him when he committed his crimes.

So decide like this. You happy to have dopers on every corner waiting for you children. Or do you want you children to be free from drugs.

I think the ballots should read as follows.

For Sheriff please vote for one.

----- Against Dope Dealers

----- For Dope Dealers

----- Irvine Whicker

Vote for your families as you see fit.

How come this scandal never comes up? I know people are sympathetic to Jerry due to his untimely death. But Coyle was named in a FEDERAL law suite.

Oh ok its fine if nelson fired employees for political reason but you want to smeer coyles name just because its election time. Now you seem to know a lot about when the law suit was filed do you know what the final outcome was ? I will guess no. But the truth is the suit was settled with no fault of sheriff combs or mike coyle. As a matter of fact the issue of comp time was questioned due to an excessive amount that was built by each individual during the odonnell administration. The issue of political firings were dismissed. Now all of this is public record so be my guest and look it up yourself. Now just a little heads up you might want to ask bob mcmahan about his bitterness towards sheriff coyle I think you might be surprised.

Yep they settled with the insurance. But don't that title look impressive.

Lawsuit: Ky. Sheriff Fired Deputies for Political Reasons

The Truth shall set you free.

Neat saying, and accurate too. See when the truth about Coyle is known, the voters shall set him free.
