What? Now, where did us hairdressers get this reputation? This is ridiculous! It's obvious some guy is just angry with some woman and trying to blackmail her and she probably happens to be a hairdresser. Hairdressers don't behave this way. I've been in the business for over 20 years and I've never seen a hairdresser turn tricks. Gimme a break! It's one of the most honest professions in the world.

I'm a hairdresser and have been for 10 years and had no problems with honesty or on my taxes. Someone is obviously upset with one but get a grip and find another way to deal with it. Not appreciating the insult. I make good money but this is a hard job and physically tiring due to being on your feet all day. Gotta love what you do to make a living and any hairdresser if they stick to it can make great money and they don't have to turn tricks for it, that's just the dumbest thing ive ever seen on topix.

You want hard work try liftin concrete blocks up 50ft of scaffolding or bending over all day laying sod. Standing for 8hrs is boring and semi tiring it's not even close to being "hard work". Unless your other jobs a house wife.

Because of men like you.. Women got what they wanted.. We in genral these days have become the bread winners. We are lawyers Doctors, and down to house wives. We work 8 plus hours a day. We come home and pick up after your sorry asses.. Cook your meals tend to the kids and do it all with a smile. it is time for men to grow up. For the most part the only thing I need a man for is to reproduce. And I can get that at a sperm bank. I can open my own jars, Fix a sink, change a tire.. All looking like a super model. While you show the crack of your big fat ass. So dont be knocking all women or there jobs. OR do you not like hairdresser's for a reason. Maybe you did not get that mullet or Rat tail cut the way you wanted it..?

Just came across this post. Your view has some flaws. Not all hard work is physical. walmart and 7-11 employees stand all day and virtually do very little because that is their skill level.

Most hairdressers are virtually self employeed and needing repeat business. They have a special skill that requires training. You have have to lift 50 lb blocks, but have no need to please a particular customer every step of the way through your work day. Hard work CAN and DOES include mental work.

This post was started by an idiot who has something against a particular hairdresser. He has a topix addiction. So thank you everyone who has stood up for the profession because i myself am a hairdresser and work hard every day.
