Solution:
1. Hire an extra security guard. At least 2 full time security guards.
2. End PASS. Bring back the alternative school. Increase the number of suspensions.
3. How about videotaping the classrooms?
4. How about some kind of system where the individual teacher could cut off the WIFI in the room. And they could turn it back on if IPODS were needed.
5. After the second fight, you are suspended for the rest of the year.
6. Move some principals away from the front door.
7. Get rid of classrooms in the old AG building. ISS is there are way too far from main building.
8. Stop having students park behind Phillips. Easy for fights to occur there. Tear down the brick building across from Boone El..And tear down AG building and increase parking.
9. How about one minority administrator?
10. How about rewards for good behavior such as assemblies on Fridays? Field trips?
11. Why are health classes held underneath the gym? Move AP classes over there. All students take health including students with IEPs.
12. Reduce the class sizes.
13. School administrators need to move their chairs into the halls and keep an eye on things.
14. End SSR which makes 4th period so long.
15. End students eating lunch in the classrooms.
16. Stop allowing athletes to get by with nonesense.
17. Allow students to get points in the classroom for good behavior.
18. Reduce overcrowding in the halls by putting freshmen on a different schedule. During the days of the freshman academy, there were fewer problems.

Also add FISH THE ADMINISTRATORS OUT OF THE RIVER OF DENIAL! What a shame that this has to be posted anonymously because the "powers that be" choose to keep their heads in the sand and would reject any criticism that came their way via staff or student input. How sad that professionals and young adults are put into a hostile work environment because the principals and asst. principals won't do their jobs!

The halls are WAY TOO CROWDED. Thus pushing and shoving leads to rising tempers. Those bright 8th graders are an issue also. Some of them are shy and are at a size disadvantage.

Shame on any principal who chides his or her staff for writing up too many referrals. Read them even if they seem trivial. It is the principal's JOB to read referrals. Some principals jump on teachers for writing up too many office referrals during teacher meetings. So many principals fear litigation.

Speaking of the Phillips lots parking, what happens if a child gets hurt crossing the street?

It isn't the female administration. It is the 2 soft spoken guys who have let things go to pot. Seems like things went to pot after Stevie was stabbed in Home Ec.. class about 3 years ago.

end of statement, end of story, no second chances, no nothing. you fight, you walk!

Hubert Broaddus used to expel fighters. Let these young warriors see what the real world is like and maybe they will come back next year with a different attitude.

No, Broaddus did not expel kids. His first year he suspended too many kids & Caudill told him to stop. Thereafter, hardly any kids were suspended.

As for expulsion, only the board can expel students. Ask How many have been expelled. The board cannot tell names but should release statistics.

Expulsion is not a word used in Madison County. The high school can only play by the rules set by the board.

central has gone to shit. After the stevie incident ( i was there.... so dramatic) the school has been too paralyzed to punish students in fear of backlash from parents. Athletes arent punished because GUESS WHAT their parents are usually the ones that participate in school things and know teachers IE INFLUENCE IN THE COMMUNITY. hope that miss va-gina still isnt the principal, she was hardly ever there and mr young and mr powell had to haul everything. mr young is sweet and mean when he needs to be but he is a peacemaker, and he should be principle.

Wow... Really???? I will give you credit for the thought and time put into the post. However, not enough time or space to comment on how many of these didn't work or won't work or wouldn't be funded. Out of the hands of MCHS.

It's time for Richmond to have a charter school for the students who are there to learn (REMEMBER THAT?). Leave the violent, lazy, freelunchers for the MC Board and MC administrators to babysit and clean up after. That seems to be all they are capable of doing--oh besides sweeping everything under the rug--and collecting their paychecks.

Wow you are really unhappy.. There are really a lot of great things going on in the schools but no need to list them here cause either you wouldn't believe them or would argue about them.

People feel sorry for Caudill because he died young. But he was still a poor principal. Caudill was stuck up. He thought he was so handsome. Floyd will speak to anyone anywhere.

This is really sad to know that are more kids fighting in school than worrying about their education . I have a child. Thats going to b in highschool next year and she is terrified to go to central because if all the fights going on. I went to central years ago and there was fighting but nothing like what's happening now there does need to b a way to solve this issue because kids should feel unsafe at school because of bullys jeolous kids that pick on the ones that are trying to learn. I was picked on from my freshman year til my senior year the person tried to push down the stairs close to our senior graduation I picked my books up and walked to class and walked away because I wasn't going to let that person keep me from graduating even tho that I should of took up for myself I wanted to b the bigger person because fighting doesn't solve anything it hurts people and u get in trouble.

Everything has went downhill since Caudill got sick and later passed away. Caudill remembered my name after I didnt see him for years. Wish more people cared like he did.
