you should learn the facts first and then learn some english before you post.

1. Fantastic Sam's in Lexington was not owned by the same people that own the one in Richmond. So just because they went under does not mean that the one here in Richmond does bad work. In fact the owners here in Richmond expect the girls in their shops to have high end salon skills.

2. I do work at FS and this is my first post, I learned of this website because of one of my clients, so with that being said just because someone post something good on here about our salon doesn't mean it is someone working at FS. If that was the case Brit you must have lost some of your clients to us or you would not have been so mean about Fantastic Sam.

Have a Fantastic day...

Go to New Effects Hair Studio! I go there, and they are so nice. Ask for Rebecca she's been doing my color for about 9 yrs.

I'm very disgruntled about the way people talk on here. I'm in the salon industry and I think its ashame that there are so many people bad-mouthing on here. I think that all salons have gone through "those" stylists that give us a worse reputation that what we would prefer but we deal with and we weed out the ones that aren't quite cut out for the job. Everyone went to the same school whether it was in Richmond, Lexington, or wherever else it may be. I think it says a lot about the people that keep wasting their time arguing about who is better.

I have gone to everyone of those salons and they will jack your hair up!!! and as for fantastic sams you are just mad because they fix all of great clips messes. I can not believe that anyone who works at great clips would talk bad about any salon. everyone knows that if you walk in great clips you are walking in fantastic sams right after to get your hair fixed.that is where all the reject stylists work.
So how long have you been doing hair? Rejects...well for one thing there are alot of great stylist that work at these salons..I work at one and I tknow I do a wonderful job..so you cant label all stylist like that..I work very hard to make sure that every client that leaves my chair is happy with the service that I have given them. So dont put all of us into one category...do you think that because you go to a certain salon your getting a master stylist...Many are just out of school...with very little experience under their belt...I work my behind off and my customers are repeat request because they know I do a wonderful job. There are always days when a stylist can have a bad day..that comes from ALL salons...I myself have had to correct cuts that a client has paid 45.00 for...There are some of us that take GREAT pride in what we do...and it does reflect in our service.

thats for sure...i was there one day and a girl that had real long hair wanted layers..and had been growing her hair for several years...the poor little girl that cut it omg totally screwed it up....the manager lois acted like the customer was crazy..when you could plainly see it was beyond repair....plus most of the girls there are just out of school....ask them how long they have been out..and i bet they dont tell you the truth..and the manager at the one in the walmart..she is just plain rude....and another thing...your supposed to be able to just walk in..well i know for a fact that the manager makes herself appointments and then when they get there she makes the other girls do the walk ins and she only does her appointments...she needs to be reported to the corporate office...and she does not rotate the walk ins....FACT...

I really like Lane at Carey-Lane Salon. I've always thought he did a great job. The ladies that work in his shop seem to do a really good job too.

I like any place that i don't go into for a cut and children or babies of the stylists are running around and/or crying. I have been to a place like that and did not get the attention i paid for because my stylist was tending to her child.

The owner of Hello Gorgeous is a wonderful woman and all her stylists are very competent and friendly. They donated a whole day of services for a group of women who were going through the New Opportunity for Women School in Berea. They donated about 3,000 dollars worth of work, on their day off no less. They completely made over these women. They did everything from haircuts and coloring to eyebrow waxing and paraffin hand waxes all for free. I go there for every hair cut and encourage anyone else to as well.

Go to Planet Salon in Lexington, may seem a little higher to what your use to but you'll have to get re-done and pay again if you try some of these places.
