I am wanting 2 start going 2 a suboxone clinic. i know there are some in Danville. Does anyone know if that is the cheapest place 2 go around here? I have a medical card, I am wanting 2 get completely clean 4 my kids, it is hard 2 quit without help. I wanna go 2 the meetings and everything. Please only serious people comment that want 2 help and not people who judge.

Please refrain from replacing dope with another kind of dope... If u want to truly get clean go to rehab and detox for your children.

Oh i am sure both of u have family members and friends who have been prescribed pain pills and got addicted because of these crooked doctors want good people too. I work everyday and take care of my child so I am not some dope head who steals and robs. I was in a car accident last year and was prescribed pain pills which I ended up getting addicted because the doctors kept prescribing them and when I stopped taking them I was in more pain. And 4 your info rehab doesn't work 4 everyone, plus I am going 2 attend meetings weekly cause it is required to be in a suboxone clinic. Sorry I don't have the money 2 take off work to go to rehab that also prescribes suboxone for withdrawl. I am a great parent and never have put drugs infront or around my children. I didn't know there were so many "Gods" on the Richmond, Ky topix. I don't care if you judge me cause I am a good person who works hard, provides for my family, and am getting my life together, maybe you need to lay off of us and start judging the doctors. Get a life, your family isn't perfect I can assure you of that!

suboxone is a new drug and ignorant people who don't want to seek a better life will never understand the concept of what this drug is accomplishing in the lives for addicts is awesome....and Cris Webb, are you also against new cancer treatments????duhhhhhh

Patty apparently you don't know what you are talking about. suboxone was made to help people get off opiates unless you have been addicted to them your self you will NEVER know what its like methadone is nothing more than synthetic herione and that you will be on for life. With suboxone you follow the program and you can walk away from both with in a few months. so you "know it all cock-suckers" need to leave people who are reaching out for help alone. your selk absorbed comment could easliy send an addict back to the drugs they were asking for help for. you should all be ashamed and look at your own family bet there are some skeletons you don't even see

I completely agree!! I get so tired of these parents saying I'm a good mom/dad but Im on drugs.. Blah blah!! A True honest good parent would never take drugs in the first place. Every decision I make impacts my children and you can be certain that a decent parent would chose NOT to use drugs. It's pathetic! How much do you waste on your habits? What does that take away from children?! Clearly, you don't work because you have a medical card.. Must be nice to live off the government and abuse drugs.. What a life!! I would rather work my 60 hour a week, go to bed tired, and be drug free than be a loser welfare druggie.

How do u have a medical card if u have a job? Are u pregnant? Or are u just working part time and getting welfare? I'm not trying to be an a$$, I just really would like to know how u pull that off.

People don't realize how bad opiate withdrawal can be.
People have died from it, many times.
Suboxone is designed to help ease your body out of needing the opiates and make coming off of them less dangerous to your body.
Then the process of coming off suboxone isnt nearly as hard as coming off opiates, when that time comes.

Also people don't realize how easy it is to get addicted to pain killers. It's easy to say "oh just dont do them in the first place!" Which is true for people who begin using just to have a good time at a party or on a boring Tuesday night. There is no excuse, but still the fact still remains, we're all only human. No matter how dumb it is to do drugs and get in that predicament, those people still deserve a safe and effective way out of their addiction
Back to doctor's prescribing pain pills...
For some people it can take as little as a couple of days of regular use, just for pain, to get addicted.
Which is why the good doctors who care about their patients will ween them down or only allow them to have so many and never prescribe more.
But for people that have chronic pain that doesn't go away after one prescription's cycle, there's very little the docs can do for them besides prescribing something.

I love the people that use this line too "oh, just deal with the pain, pussy!"
Obviously those people have never had serious surgery or some other injury that comes with consistent chronic pain.
I know people that have had major knee and back injuries and have had countless surgeries but they're always in constant pain. Eventually someone like that may get a surgery that takes away the pain, but by then they've been on the pills so long that it's going to be impossible to stop.

In closing, a Suboxone clinic is way cheaper than buying drugs on the streets. I commend parents that are addicted who get help through the rehab clinics that provide suboxone because the simple fact is, when you're battling addiction and withdrawal you will spend all your money getting your fix every day. I'd rather know someone is spending $250-$300 going to a clinic once a month rather than spending $50-200 a day for the pills they need to keep them going, taking money away from the stuff their children need.

Bottom line is, if you've never dealt with it or never been in a situation where you could decide to either take drugs or not (not speaking of rec use, speaking of chronic pain and prescriptions) you have no room to talk or judge. You don't know what it's like.

I have been clean and off everything for over a year now and I feel great, but that detox period was hell. I relapsed so many times because the depression, the sickness and the pain I was in was too much to bear. Finally I got into a suboxone program and within only a few months I was completely off everything. Give these people a chance, or shut the hell up because you dont know what you're talkng about,

I just wonder why the fucks that talk out of there ass about something they know nothing about are even posting comments anyways. I mean what are you guys even doing on this site. Do people actually look for forums to just talk shit?? And want to talk about pathetic. Probably low self esteem problems. Short, fat ugly, and everything in between. Oh and i hope everyone here who made a mistake by getting addicted I just want to say good luck and i hope you find help.

People make mistakes. It's a simple fact. This person started this thread to find some help, not to be ridiculed or talked to like a dog. What some people are to stupid to realize is that's a good way to make a person seeking help go back to the drugs they're trying to get off of in the first place. Those people that think they're oh so perfect really aren't. Most of the time, they're more [email protected]%&ed up than the people they make fun of.

To the person posting as "Subox",I hope you found the help you needed. Don't listen to the haters. They have worse issues than yours and don't even know it.

If you are serious about getting straight and can't afford rehab. see Mike Mac at Faith House at the corner of Madison & Walnut and plan to go to NA/AA meeting everyday. Women can apply at Liberty Place for a rehab that costs nothing. It is inpatient for 1 to 2 years. Its not easy, but it works if you stick to it.

I agree! I think these people are losers with nothing better to do than to fuck with other people.........GET A JOB, JACK ASS! Then tell me what its like to have a career and a family and not be able to just run off to rehab. Sometimes we have to do what we can to fix our life and its our business, not yours!!!!!!!
