Tell me why some people will come to a full service restaurant and not leave a tip. I understand if you get bad service, but some people refuse to tip. As a server we make 2.13per hr. We depend on tip money to pay our bills and feed our kids. Bottom line,if you don't have money to tip then you don't have money to eat out.

Thanks for the advice asshole but Ive already been to college. Jobs are hard to come by. I could be on welfare but instead I work 6 days a week. I bet you're a great table to wait on. Why would you assume that because I work in a restaurant that I'm uneducated? Throw another stereotype out there idiot.

I have read your complaint and I know that you have been sworn.
You are guaranteed to make minimum wage! If you don't average minimum wage, you must keep track of your tips that you do make and your employer is required to make up the difference! Customers are not required to tip. Perhaps you gave bad service. Perhaps they can barely afford to cover the meal.
You are like a cup of coffee are you....Hot and Black?
Mr. Burrell, find me a cup of hot black coffee. Mr. Lewellyn please call the next case!

If you can't afford the meal or the tip, stay home. No, you are not required to tip but it's the polite thing to do. Everyone should have to do this job for one day. I provide a service, which I expect to be paid for. My employer does not make up the difference.

I dont tip because I don't have too! 99 percent of the time that I eat out they screw something up! So why should I tip you to get my order incorrect? If you do not like your job look else where for one!

I don't tip because I pay for the food. I think it ridiculous to buy my food and pay to have it brought to me. I don't know where the system came from but I'm not going with it. I pay 20. Dollars for a meal then have to pay another 5 to get it to the table no thanks. Ill stay home and serve myself.

It is not an option for your employer. It is required under state and federal wage and hour laws. It would be the average of all tips in an hour. If two paying customers left you $4 each, then you have made minimum wage, even though five paying customers did not tip you for being lazy and whining.

Customers are not required to pay a tip for your service.

Sometimes I don't tip just because I know it pisses off the waitress and she will get on topix and complain about it and I can laugh at it while scratching lottery tickets I bought with the tip money. Next time you see someone hit it big on the lottery in richmond think to yourself.....man that could have been my tip money that bought that ticket.

McDonalds & Hardees pay minimum wage. You obviously have food handling skills so why don't you go work there. Common sense can't be taught in college! Go where the money is. Just saying

Wow ppl do not have compassion or manners. When you go to a decent place you Expect nice friendly service and I'm sure would get irate if the waitress is hateful or rude. You are expected to leave a tip the same way you expect good service dumbasses. Obviously you need to stay at home and eat shit out of a microwave! Jobs are super hard to find and damn leave her a tip or pay for her food stamps, I applaud her for not living off my tax money and sitting at home being lazy.

Keep in mind, all good servers have a great memory. If you don't tip just because you are cheap, they will remember. The next time you eat there, you WILL be eating something that came from the trash, the bathroom, or their bodily fluids. I know this very well from being a pizza delivery driver. There is a LONG time between the store and your house, when I'm alone with your food. ENJOY!

that's just nasty. You are a worst person than the person not tipping. I could maybe see being purposely late with cold food but to do those thing you did shows what a nasty person you are.

Nah. I have no problems disgracing someone's food with foreign objects if I know that they are an asshole and don't tip. I know I'm not the only one. It might very well have been you all that ate the food that I dropped in the trash and put on your plate before I brought it out. I really hope it was. And whoever it was that said it was right...servers have great memories. The restaurant I used to work at probably isn't the only place that people hate you.

The reason someone doesn't tip a server is because they have no class.

I tip 20% because it is the right thing to do. These people work very hard to provide service and they have to make a living like everyone else.
