Citizens of Richmond. Do you believe a part time Board of Directors can solve a full time Energy problem facing every ratepayer? The City Council has enough problems to deal with in running the city. So, why not allow RP&L to have their own seperate Board of Directors? It's time for RP&L to find the best energy professionals they can to work with the new Gen.Mgr. The recent witch hunt to remove Steve Saum and Harry Phillips did nothing to solve the cities energy problems. Maybe the Newspaper should dig alittle deeper on the gasification project? They just might find some City Council Board Members had more to do with it then they wanted the public to know about? As for the new coal plant at Prairie State. Steve Saum is right on

Why would the city want to be involved?
Are there conflicts of interest in our city, county. or state?
I like your posts and they always make me think of questions that I can never find an answer for.Can you share any of your knowledge as to the questions above?

Thanks

rednecks like you is why Richmond is falling apart

and Richmond has nothing. Poverty broke *ss drug and crime infested town plus no good jobs what temps and minimum wage
jobs.

City leaders are even worse.

look at what 2 people wrote on the internet:

It's the medias fault for reporting the crimes that go on.....I would bet money that the Pal-Item covers up a lot more crime than they actually report to make sure that Richmond is a "positive place". Chief Wiggims does not like it that things have escalated to the point it cannot be hidden anymore. Brain-dead, anti-gun, Sasquatch Sally Hutton can hang together and wear their rose-colored glasses all they want. Think happy happy thoughts and make all the "positive place" statements they want to but it is not going to change the fact that Richmond is dying and crime is running rampant in the streets. It's only a matter of time before more people die from the malfeasance from the City Building.

You really think any company wants to come to richmond? If you don't understand why richmond has so much crime you need to go back to a crosswalk. And the mayor needs to go back to sim city to understand why nothing is here anymore.

Micheal didn't write either of these posts. Wotherspoon wrote the first one, Lynn Loring wrote the reply. Geez, didn't you notice both posts were literate, coherent and somewhat sane? Micheal couldn't write like that if he took all the prozak in the world.

Dear Mike and others,

What is the deal here and why all the hatred directed towards Mike?

My user name is my name spelled backwards and it is not Lynn and I would like an answer to the questions I posed Mike.

The asterick is interesting symbol I have seen often so what does the *ss mean please tell me.
Thanks
