I usually don’t complain about concerts, but this one last Saturday was not a good experience for my wife and I and we plan to never attend one again. I have always looked forward to the festival and have really enjoyed some good ones in the past. The Charlie Daniels band was good but the drinking in the concert area was not at all conducive to a fun evening. People constantly trying to get through the crowd with cups full of spilling beer to get through to their drunken friends really blew it for me. I had one drunken man several times trying to get past me to his friends. I tried to explain to him that there were people sitting in chairs in front of me and he couldn’t get through. That didn’t stop him. He just kept annoying me and poking me in the side. Another man behind us kept leaning into me and my wife with his extended beer cup. I’ve never seen so many drunken staggering bums in my life, really sad. It was not at all a safe atmosphere and I was really worried that a big brawl may take place. Then, after the concert, my wife and I were walking back to our car and a lady in an SUV was speeding through the service road we were near and almost hit my wife. I pulled my wife away just in time. Thank the Lord we made it home.

I aggree with Herb. We left early last year because of too many drunks. Usually RHPD is more effective at preventing bad behavior. Recommend more seating as well.

Overall, I am not sure we will attend again...

As far as seating, do you have to reserve seating ahead of time (how?) or do they let people bring their own chairs and set them up on the grass like at Wild Adventure's shows?
Thanks,
Paul

you can bring your own chairs or find a spot on the bleachers. The bleachers are set up in front of the stage. We had a seat which was easy enough, but the crowd was less than hospitable.

With the entertainers this year, I wouldn't expect a bigger turn out. We didn't get anyone I would call top notch.

Almost a definite no show for us this year!
