Just cash your government check and spare us all the lunatic Right Wing Wacko diatribe about how as a baby you built the hospital where you were born, and paid for the education and training of the hospital staff; you built the schools and hired the staff that obviously failed to educate you; you built the roads, the police departments, the airports, the train tracks, and paid for all the employees, past and present, that ever, in any way, provided you a service, directly or indirectly; you were there at the Revolutionary War, WW I, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam; and neither you nor anyone in your family ever drew a government check or benefits.
Lord, it's amusing to hear Right Wing Wackos, who pay 1/10 the taxes the rest of us pay, if you pay anything, lecture the rest of us Americans on how "independent" you are, and how socialist we all are.
Now latch your lips back on the government teat, at least then you won't be hypocritically lecturing the rest of us.
Maybe Romney was right, we ought to let the 47% of America - the Right Wing Wacko government dependent parasites - fend for themselves. We cal always hire illegals to drag their carcasses from the ditches when they fall.

Naw.. couldn't be.
Give a person a fish and they'll be hungry in a day. Teach them to fish and they'll have food. But send all those fishing jobs overseas and what do you have? Corporate America.
Yes, it's part of the problem, but do you know why it's done? Are you familiar with how business really works? Do YOU think unions may have an impact on things?

As I've posted MANY times before, a public corporation is responsible to it's shareholders, NOT it's employees, the country, or government. It's the real world.

Do some research on the fiduciary responsibility of public company officers and the Board of Directors, perhaps you'll understand better what I'm saying.

Short story as an example: If I'm CFO of a public company (which I was and had a situation quite similar to this example) and my company (a union shop) can make a widget for $10 a unit in my shop (the same cost as my competitor across town), or have it made for $7 per unit in another country (including shipping, etc. to get the product here), which am I going to choose? If I choose the $7 per unit cost, I can have a lower price (improving my market share) compared to my competitor, or if I have the same selling price (obviously) I can have a higher profit per unit than my competitor. If I choose the $10 per unit cost, my profits won't be as high, etc. Follow?

If I don't do what's best for the Company (the $7 cost), very likely I will be sued by shareholders and, oh yeah, they'll fire me and find someone else that will do it.

Do you own any stocks? Do you want the companies you (may) own to do as well as possible? Or do you want them to be beholden to their employees (which might also be stockholders)?

You're getting at the tip of the iceberg, but you have a bit to learn and/or understand...

Okay, so apparently the first time didn't post - here's take two:

Obviously, I should have done a better job of differentiating the two main points I was making.

Sorry you didn't get the point of separating private sector vs public sector jobs. Neither the Federal, the state, nor local governments "earn" money with which to pay their "employees" - that money must come from the taxpayer. And those government entities have shown no inclination to cut costs and trim budgets in the face of the economic reality of unsustainability. Do those public sector employees pay taxes - yes, but not sufficient to fund the overly inflated pension plans that unions have managed to "negotiate" with, in too many cases, all too supportive government representatives. California is a great example, it is facing a $1 trillion dollar debt, much of it based on insane pension plans and looks to saddle each household with an $80,000 bill. The point of one of those articles was how a state can stop the downward spiral - how does it improve its "credit"? How do states overcome these debts? Do what the Federal govt needs to do - cut spending and tighten its belt. It must also encourage businesses to come there and create jobs. But what is California doing - raising taxes. New York has recognized the economic growth spur that lowering taxes for businesses proves to be and is advertising its new tax plans on television.

The other point is that entitlement spending is unsustainable and must be drastically reformed. When non-Social Security entitlement spending takes 42% of the federal budget - we have a problem. No one is saying no to help those who truly need it, but when the Federal govt spends $3 million dollars to advertise the Food Stamp program (much of that advertising occurring in Mexico??) anyone with an ounce of sense must realize there is something wrong with the mindset of those in charge of the program - and that is only one example.

I love the spin, comparisons to "private sector workers" only.

"In 12 years, food stamp recipients has tripled from 17 million in 2000 to nearly 47 million today."

I love the spin, it simply unimaginable that during a deep worstest recession that the number of those seeking assistance would increase.

Come back when you've got something worthwhile to contribute.
Right Wing Wackos always like to pretend that the money they receive isn't welfare.

They like to pretend they aren't dependent on the government - but they collect lots more in benefits than they can possibly pay, and others have to pay more, so you pay less.

It's the usual Right Wing Wacko hypocrisy. When the government cash and benefits go to them it ain't welfare - when they go to anyone else - it is.

- When you deduct the "donation" to your church - you're collecting welfare;

- When you deduct the interest payments on your mortgage - you're collecting welfare;

- When you claim your kids as dependents - you're collecting welfare;

- when you take child care credit - you're collecting welfare;

- if you're a farmer - you're collecting welfare;

- When your kid gets a student loan or grant - you're collecting welfare;

- When the FDIC or FSLIC protects you life savings, or keeps you from losing your life savings when the bank goes bad - you're collecting welfare;

- When the PBGC protects your pension from bankruptcy - you're collecting welfare;

- When your kid attends public school - you're collecting welfare;

- When you pay capital gains tax rates instead of earned income rates - you're collecting welfare;

- When you depreciate investment properties for tax purposes on a schedule, that in reality haven't depreciated at all - you're collecting welfare;

- When you're avoid taxes by claiming the exemption on $250K for capital gains on your residence - you're collecting welfare;

- When you deduct that donation to your Right Wing Wacko school, church, or college - you're collecting welfare;

- When your Mom gets that bed in the nursing home at the Medicaid rate - your collecting welfare;

- When you're kid gets free lunch at school - you're collecting welfare;

- When your Social Security and Medicare checks and benefits exceed your personal contribution - you're collecting welfare;

- When Obama Care makes an insurance company, to keep you alive, pay over the old lifetime limit - you're collecting welfare;

- When police, fire, or medical assistance responds to save your or your family - you're collecting welfare;

- When you fish on a TVA lake, or get subsidized electricity from the TVA - your collecting welfare;

- When you take advantage if State and National forests and parks - you're collecting welfare;

- When you use the FAA and NTSB and airports to fly - you're collecting welfare;

- add a few hundred other instances when the average American collects welfare.

Yep, Right Wing Wackos - lips firmly attached to the government teat - while they tell us all how everyone else is the problem.

Amazingly - they're insane enough, or dumb enough to believe their own lies.

Five days later on this program and on four other Sunday morning programs, the idea of an exceptionally boisterous movie review was still the administration's position.

And then, 14 days after the attack, at the UN, it was the same thing.

We started out with three arguments. Was security lax in Benghazi? Demonstrably. Could forces have been there to rescue them? Doubtful. Has the nation been systemically misled? Certainly.

Now, we need a select committee in congress because the State Department's misnamed accountability review board neglected to interview even the secretary of state."
Recent reports indicate the Right Wing Wacko Republicans lied the country into War, resulting in the death of 1000 thousand times more American than were killed by Right Wing Wackos in Libya, and $6,000,000,000,000.00 in debt.

Right Wing Wackos report that as soon as they investigate whether Hillary Clinton used a Bic pen, of a Sheaffer pen, to scratch her ear prior to the last set of useless Right Wing Wacko With Hunt hearings, they'll get around to holding Bush and his Gang of War Criminals accountable.

Rep. John Boehner commented, when asked why no investigations are planned into the 13 attacks against embassy and consulates, that resulted in 15 times more deaths than in Libya stating:
