This is why we need dedicated bike paths wherever possible. This poor woman was run over like an animal...the drivers should be executed. Probably illegals. There is a tradition in Mexico that you flee the scene of accidents so as not to sit in jail until damages are paid.

That's a good one. This road is two lanes and pretty wide. They must have goen to the curb where a lane would be. Does not say if she had lights either. I would never ride in Richmond. It's a cesspool like Oakland and SF

It's not only Mexicans who flee the scene of accidents! In "da hood" sections of RIchmond and Oakland those that stop seem to be a small minority nowadays. In other cities it's almost as bad. Responsibility has become a thing of the past, just let them die by the side of the road and/or get run over by other drivers, we just can't be bothered. Of course since we were speeding, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, didn't have insurance or in a stolen car might be a factor too. Anyway it's just another sad commentary on today's society!

Richmond is such a friendly city. Anyone with any sense would be out of there in a minute.

Richmond's nickname is "Dodge City"...anything goes. The city has no law & order. That's a horrible death to be dragged by a car. The suspects will never be caught..the first thing taught to kids is "no snitching"...without a witness...just another unsolved crime.

Yes, Richmond is a cesspool of crap. Definitely, the lowest class of American Blacks and Hispanics. If there was a 9/11 in Richmond, who the hell would care.

The news said there were witnesses but they were too traumatized to recall what kind of car.

A 23 year old woman has turned herself into police saying she was the first one to hit the victim but thought it was just a bicycle (yeah right!) she hit. Since she initially stopped and then left the scene I don't buy that story at all but at least she had the integrity to come forward. She's now facing felony charges as she should. The second driver is still at large.
