Their actions are unacceptable in a civilized society. They should be imprisoned with people of their own depravity.

I hope they cath them all!

I think imprisonment is too lite a punishment. I think the father of the girl should get to castrate and bleed out each of these bastards!

That whole high school needs to be cleaned out. It is unbelievable the amount of human trash going to that so-called school. And what with the no security when everyone knows what a he!l hole that place is??????????

Of course, the blame for the act is directly on all those "boys" who either just watched or joined in the act! This is just SICK, SICK, SICK!

Hopefully they too will be severely raped once they are locked up. If only the dad had a gun and was a little closer-he should have shot as many of those scumbags as possible!

You pervert! What else would you like the public to know beyond the conviction. She was raped by many boys and men. If you want details about raping, go rent a porno you perv!

I think the police should publicize the names of the onlookers. Let them be tried in the court of public opinion.

Somewhere along the line, we as society have deemed murder, rape, theft, and other crimes to be acceptable on a media level. We parade this past young people and adults on a daily basis in the form of television, video games, telephones, music, magazines and other media, and we call it ENTERTAINMENT. Then we become appalled when some people act on these lifelong imbedded ideas, or when others stand around and watch without having the proper discernment of knowing how to respond because they have always watched it in some form or another. Society continues to push the envelope on what is acceptable and what is not to the point where it’s like a train out of control, just waiting for the wreck. Here a good idea “Lets remove the moral compass. Let’s take God out of the equation and accelerate the process”!! I’m saddened by this event, and yet amazed that society somehow expected things like this wouldn’t happen. I pray for that girl and our sleeping society. Nobody won here!

LOL, I understood what you meant. Maybe web was tired when he/she read your post? Either way he/she was the one who misunderstood and could offer an apology if his/her ego doesn't get in the way.:)

The good news is that the perps are going to pay for their crimes.

I think is not as bad name considering that Elvis married his wife when she was only fourteen or fifteen.

I completely agree, but will take it a step further; lack of proper parenting skills. The issue here is lack of responsible parenting and adult supervision. Children today have too much freedom and parents are often concerned about their privacy. Parents are too lazy to monitor their children and teach them right from wrong at an early age, thus resulting in this kind of travesty as they become older.

I agree, tv, music and other sources of "entertainment" can have an influence on a child or even numb a child, but only if their is a lack of proper parent/adult supervision. Common sense, lack of respect and education are seriously evaporating in our society, unless as a parent you teach your child at an early age and help them incorporate a high level of morals and values.

But if you have young, single parents with little or no education unfortunately other material things come first and raising your child becomes secondary. What happened to the days of both parents being fully involved at all times and teaching a child how to become a responsible and productive adult?

Of course, none of this can prevent someone from becoming a criminal or committing this type of act, but the probability of occurring will be less
