Don't get me wrong I love my dog, but to compare it to a child? To compare it to a human being? Sounds to me like steppin is one of those shut in virgin old maids! You know the ones you see out with their dogs and they have them all dressed up in a little outfit, feeding them food with their mouth. The ones that can't have a REAL relationship and have an actual HUMAN CHILD so they do the next best thing, go buy one. LOL. Grow up people, if you LOVE your blessed dog that much when you get your "day off" groom the sorry mutt yourself. I mean really a 5 year old could cut a dogs hair!
Really yourself. I bet you never had enough love as a child. This forum is for us pet lovers that know how to love something besides ourselves.. To you they are just a dog. To us, He/She is an adopted child that walks on all fours, is furry and can't speak plain. If you don't like our pets, don't come to our homes and complain about them. If you don't want hair on your clothes, stay off our furniture, thats why it's called FUR-niture. And remember, they live there, you don't!

AND BTW, I DON"T HAVE A 5 YEAR OLD AND I'M TOO BUSY TO LEARN TO GROOM HER MYSELF. THATS WHY I GO TO DEB'S DOOS. She's a very trusted and highly trained groomer, and now because of the love she has for animals, she is also my friend.
I hope that one day, when you are alone (and it will happen my friend)you will find that unconditional love a beloved pet will bring you. God Bless.

I took my dog to Deb's Dos this past week and as always she did an excellent job..My lil girl smelled like a cabbage patch kid doll when I picked her up with little Christmas bows in her ears..Deb is a kind and caring person and my dog loves her to death. I wouldn't take her to anyone else!

Sounds like a good case for slander!! Do u have the vet report to back this claim? Wonder if these comments are from a disgruntled former employee who was caught dipping into the cookie jar?

I have a family...and there are kids in my family too. I love my dog as much as any of my family members so there blows your "old maid" theory. Oh, and sometimes I love my dog more because she actually behaves better than the kids.

Well I think I'm gonna take my little fur baby to Pet Styles in Tazewell. What about there? Anyone ever been there?? I called and asked about their grooming and they do cut, shampoo, clean ears, and trim nails for under 40. I also asked about her being put to sleep and they said they don't do that. So if any one has been there I would like to hear reviews, if not that's where I'll be going.

I absolutely loved the job that pet styles did on my little fur baby. The place is set up very nice, very clean, does not smell at all. And my little one smelled so good for weeks afterward!! Will def go there again.

I've taken my dog to Nikki's only for nail cutting/filing & I stay there the ENTIRE time, maybe it's only for that reason, but she seems to be nice to him & I never hear him cry & he isn't shaking when he comes out. He's always happy & all, BUT U never know.....I think ANYWHERE U take an animal, the caretaker will get aggitated if U have a wild & wiry dog (who wouldn't) & I am a member of the ASPCA, but there is NO reason for ANYONE to abuse an animal. If the dog is too much for any caretaker or groomer, then they should have the guts to tell U so U can decide where U need to take the pet to. My dog is like my child, so I make sure there ain't NOBODY mean to him. Also, Nikki isn't expensive. Everyone has their own stories to tell whether good or bad, U just have to decide for yourself where U wanna take your pets. I've actually thought about starting up my own business, but never have. This forum thread may change my mind ;D

I like Pampered Pets. She is affordable and does a great job. If you are talking about smells, you can expect some odors. It is a pet grooming area. Dogs smell.
