I think most of us is saying that young so called mentally ill people that should be on paxil or whatever drugs that if you go for a drug test and it is positive for methamphetamine then that should be looked at. I am sure they could check peoples medical records and see what drugs you are on and correlate that to the test. There is people everyday slitting their wrist on purpose to get crazy checks and then going out and using drugs and alcohol with that money....That is the problem I have.
I copmpletely agree

I have been reading these post and am guite disturbed. I know that if I had to take a drug test in order to get my disability check I would never get a dime. My disabilities are severe enough that the only way I can function is to take prescription drugs. If I dont I could not leave the house. However if I do take them most of the time I look like a picture of health. Other than a slight limp others would not know anything was wrong with me.
When I take the medicine I still have to use my cane some of the time. If I dont take the medicine I cannot walk without the cane at all.
I served this great country and would do it all over again. I paid my taxes and FDIC (Social Security Taxes) and that money was to go into a fund to help me and others like me.
If you could to spend a few days like I have to, then you would have a change of heart. Wait a minute some of you would not because you dont seem to have a heart to begin to change.
I know there are some that fake things, but lets also remember there are a lot more that dont have to fake a thing. These people need everthing they can get. It is not always the things you can see with the eye.
I would gladly give the checks back if I could get my health back. I would be glad to pay the taxes for the ones that have paid into the system and now need to get back the benefits they deserve.
if i could spend a day getting high as hell like you and not have to work.. yes sign me up.. wanna trade sir?

You dont want to trade. With the nights without sleep due to pain, the mood swings, afraid to drive because of the drugs. If caught driving it is worse than driving under the influence of alcohol. The divorce rate is almost three times the normal rate. The suicide rates are off the charts.

You relive the war almost every night and cannot get away from it. You know it is over, but it will never be over for you. You know the next one hit will be your best friend, and you cannot do anything about it.

It is an eternal damnation that has no end as long as you live. You wonder if it will continue into the everlasting if there is such a thing.

Why would anyone ever think of trading for such a damnation? There is no reason on consideration.

I think it is sad how many people here in this town at sceaming and scamming the goverment. People drawing even more than $400.00 a month... A LOT MORE! Women having baby after baby and drawing hundreds ofdollars in food stamps, living practically rent free, paying nothing and living better than me and my husband. I would love to have a child, but for 10 years I have practiced SAFE SEX with my husband to avoid getting preg. because I can barley afford to feed me and him on our salaries... I refuse to get welfare, it is one thing to need it and get it, but to keep having babies and getting more and more money that is HORRIBLE, I can barley pay my bills every month becuase I pay so much out in taxes. Taxes all these are getting in the Form of checks and food stamps... it is terrible. I hope they are all caught and have to pay it all back, Shame on people for being so selfish and selfless! But that is just my opinion!

It is one thing to get a check that is Deserved, I know that are diability and are NOT on drugs, and they deserve that money! But it's the one that don't need it that most of the time get it. I know ALOT of people that need to be on disabilty and even people that need help like welfare and can't get it, and that's what angers me. It is the honest people in the world that get DOGGED and the Scammers, I shall call them that get everything handed to them! But your Right Wes and I totally agree with you 100% not all people on checks are drug addicts. And not all people on Welfare are bad people, parents, drug addicts ect. But there are alot out there and that makes it hard on all of us, even you... If you pay taxes like everyone else, then you are helping keep these people up that DON'T deserve or NEED to be the check/welfare! That was the point I was making! I don't claim to be Hollier than tho... But I do live an honest, god fearing life!

Disability is not paid by your tax dollars. The money that is given to individuals for their disability was earned by THEM while they were able to work and set aside for this cause. No one is paying for anyones disability but the person that receives it....people do your homework and stop acting like a bunch of uneducated rednecks. Yes, SSI is paid with your tax dollars but not Disability.

If you can buid a barn, build a concrete building, work with farm animals and run farm equipment...YOU AINT DISABLED! Those are the ones who need to be investigated and put back to work.

i hear alot of anger here. i am a 61 year old nurse who works with disability people.i see their pain i hear their pain daily.i have done this type of nursing since 1970.i have only one time have seen where i thought the person did not need to be on disability. but after working with that person for a month and reading over and over many charts.this person was active could move played pool all day long ran 5 miles each day. just looking at the person you would think fraud. but talking 5 minutes you would know. this was a very nice person too. but looked very normal loved to be very active but had a mind of a 4-5 year old. so looking at someone or watching someone you might not know until you know all facts.just because it is mental doesn't mean that person should be in a mental hospital. and all that are in a mental hospital some can get well enough to live on their own some can not. until you walk a mile in someone eles shoes... you might not have all facts.many i have worked with very high iq's at one time a sports accident or car crash can leave a person brain damaged.some disabilities are not seen by the naked eye.and sometimes a a game is all that a person has or they are not well and can not judge what is best in spending their checks.and about child care services that is a different story than disability.i work where some get both my job is rewarding but it can be sad but makes me very thankful to have the health i have for the sixty-one years of my life.it has taught me a thing or two never judgeanyone what you see isn't the full picture. and,yes some have gotten over the system but believe me it does get caught. not pretty when that happends that person never gets back up on their feet.it is a crime but now with the testing i don't see anyone faking a disability.it isn't like it was just 3 years ago.and, people now have to be reviewed so what your naked eye is seeing isn't what you think.
