Its all about Greg Mance always has been and always will be as long as he is here. I hope he is telling the truth when he is outof here in 5 years. But just about everything that comes out of his mouth is a lie. He dont care about the kids or their education. He begs all of them to hold back so he can play 19 year olds against 17 year olds, he really hurts education for those kids in the long run. He can't win the big game, he chokes worse than the kids do. A fool could have seen if he had played Reece the whole game last state play off Richlands would have had another state title , but thanks to Mance and his recruit Cody Lockhart he managed to lose yet again. Mance does a good job at beating up on the rgular season teams who dont recruit and just play the game fair, but he struggles in the big games. Heres one ole boy that cant wait to see him head back to Galax. I thing people have caught on to Mances little game he is playing with the Richlands kids (holding back a grade) and the kids at other schools (recruiting) and I think the enemies are beginning to pile up. He is running out of people to do his dirty work. Truth is he couldnt make it in the real football towns where the devon johnsons are a dime a dozen. Parents beware of the slick talk , cause he sure does know how to tell people what they want to hear and then do just the oppisite.
Sorry your bitter but Cody was great, maybe you should have settled for one position on the team and you might have got a ring, backup.

<quoted text>I have no idea why i am going to try and speak with you, because it is clear by the post you make that you are proud to be an uneducated redneck, but here it goes. "You ain't no." Did all those hits to the head in high school football make you sleep through English class? I love Richlands and I am a fan of our kids not coaches. The kids are not having fun anymore, it is sad. A couple of kids missed 5 days of school last year due to the loss to Cave Spring. They felt like failures after a 10-1 season, thats not the way they should have felt. They had a great year. It was wrong speech to the kids after the loss, and thats the coaches fault.
Were you in the lockeroom? Were you appointed the speech critic? You know what you can do.

Hey, this is really Brandon Compton. I apologize for the inconvenience to anyone offended by my presence at the field house. I am a college graduate from King College, I do work full time at Lowe's, and I did get my certification in personal training. I do dedicate my time to help the future of the program. Yea your right I'm not an employee because I've received no money for the 6 months that I have spent there working. I have dedicated numerous hours on teaching proper lifting techniques and studying lifting concepts for those kids. I am blue and white to the core and I want to see another state title brought back to this town and community. I wish all those kids the absolute best of luck!! Good luck Big Blue!
Hey really Brandon Compton you didnt mention you have a little brother there. Would you dedicate your time if he wasnt there? How many years are you going to be dedicating to the future of the program? Id say as soon as your little brother graduates your honorable dedicating skills of proper lifting techniques and lifting concepts will never again be in the field house. you cant bulls hit me your just another suc in the fieldhouse trying to get little brother a edge. Ive watched you lift, if your proper techniques are so valuable, why are your joints so messed up and the coaches have made it without you this far. tell you what , if my kid gets hurt because of some technique you tell him i will su you , you dont belong in the fieldhouse.

If you think Richlands is the only school in SWVA that uses holdbacks, you are crazy. Furthermore, Wise County made "transfers" a art form especially Powell Valley,Appy, and lately J I Burton. It happens at every school.

If little jimmy jumps off the bridge and kills his self are you going to also??In the long run the kid is the one that gets hurt, coaches telling them they will go d-1 if they work hard enough, knowing full well they wont go d-1. Its all about 1 man looking good up there and he dont care about anyone else.

Dont clear up a thing retard, the rule makes it allowable, but it hurts the kid in his life , in the long term, im sure that rule is for slow kids who dont learn well. I bet you on the forms being filled out to hold these kids back which the principal approves, under the question "Reason for holding back" The answers are NOT "To play Sports" That is where this rule is being abused, It is all lies and the principals are approving it because mance carries the principal in his back pocket. All rules are not good rules. And trust me their are a few educaters that are making steps to make holding back harder. It hurts the kids , It hurts the classrooms and it hurts the schools, it hurts society. And why do we do it? For a Friday night ballgame and a chance to go to state and put a Lighting R on your car and feel proud. We need some lighting A's on report cards, school is not for Old men that have nothing to do but go to the fieldhouse and hangout, school is to educate. PERIOD! A kid who makes the grades to move on to the next grade and is held back , already know the material beig taught and ends up being a class clown and making it hard on the teacher which in turns hurts the kids who are really needing to learn the material.

Hurts the kids? How does an extra year to mature and develop responsibility hurt a kid?

I completely agree with you. That extra year of maturity can only help them.......I would rather send my child to college at 19 than 18. One year can make a world of difference.

If you could read assquatch you would see how it hurts them. Most of them are right on track with their educations and maturity. that is the excuse they are using they need to mature. It turns them into bullies in the class room , they already know the material being taught, it makes them classroom clowns and disrupts the teacher trying to teach the material to the kids who hasnt been in that grade yet. ask a holdback why they held back, they will tell you " FOR SPORTS" See how many will tell you "I held back because im slow and cant learn the material being taught, not to mention I am not mature enough to move on to the next grade, oh yeah and im not responsible." which is exactly what mommy and daddy has to write on the form and exactly what the pricipal approves. It dont hurt the hold back as much as it hurts the whole school and in the long run their education and society, but who cares , right? as long as you can stick that lighting R on your car and be proud. Sorry but it is coming to an end, you old men are going to have to find something else to do besides high school football and hanging out in the fieldhouse. Fasttimes at Ridgemont, ah I mean Richlands High is coming to an End. Kids go to school for an Education not sports . Im ashamed that this administration and this town acts in such a manner. READ THIS AGAIN: Dont clear up a thing retard, the rule makes it allowable, but it hurts the kid in his life , in the long term, im sure that rule is for slow kids who dont learn well. who, are you saying all kids need to be held back a year or just yours? elaborate who, im interested to see why you want your child in college at 19 rather than at 18? Just your kid? or is this a belief you have for all kids? your basically saying your kid cant function with people his/her own age. Explain what you mean by "one year can make a world of difference" a world of difference in what? Sounds to me like your doing the mance dance.
