It's actually a terrible explanation.

Over 600,000 people lost their lives during the Civil War and the abolition of slavery was derived from the suppression of the insurrection.

As for the civil rights movement, I hardly find any parallels between the use of non-violent civil disobedience and your promise of armed and violent resistance to gun control legislation. The majority of our citizens favor some restrictions on the types of weapons and ammunition that an individual can possess. Your views sound more similar to those of a Timothy McVeigh or Ted Kaczynski.

You keep telling yourself that. We will see. The people in this area and hundreds if not thousands of other just like ours will keep the exact weapons they want to outlaw and we WILL NOT give them up without a fight. When they come to take our so called "assault weapons" they better bring their own.

First off, nobody is proposing taking anyone's guns away. Second, if you think you and your fatass, beer drinking, hillbilly, douche bag friends in your pick up trucks with your AR-15's stand any chance of putting up any kind of meaningful resistance to people who are actually trained to use assault weapons in real life combat situation (as opposed to shooting at beer cans while intoxicated), you are a delusional moron.

You just want to argue. The insurrection was:
1) we refused to be disarmed surfs to the Brittish.
2) blacks refused to be segregated, i.e. Rosa Parks
As far as the hillbillies that i an proud to be one of.
The big war machine doesnt work so well against armed citizens fighting for their homeland and the government knows this. They know all to well from Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. I believe they have learned alot in the last 11yrs in latter two and are planning on trying to treat Americans like Iraqis and thats why they are pushing so hard and fast to get drones flying over the U.S. and arevpushing gun control so hard. The government and banking system have robbed us all blind. I have worked all my life And probably will never see any retirement. They know when it all crumbles that they dont want us armed, and free.

It is quite obvious that you are ignorant of the proposed legislation and/or executive order. I guess you are saying that the country is going to endure the same chaos and anarchy that erupted when the 1994 assault weapons ban was passed....

WTF: have you ever stopped to ask your self just how many men you are calling beer drinking fat bellied rednecks that are holder of the Combat Infantry Badge? How many hold the Bronze Star and some the Silve Star and the Purple Heart and most of these guys can use these rifles effectively and under duress. As far as the assault rifles are concerned I don't want one have no use for one having carried one for a 2 years however if you want one I would defend your right to own one and the right to carry it. So why so mean in your post? I along with many in this country think that there is a movement afoot to disarm the people of our country for what ever the reasons maybe.

The constitution makes clear the relationship between state officials and federal officials.

1) all citizens are members of their state or district of residence. As such, they are bound by their state's/district's laws.
2) federal law always supersedes state law.
3) state officials can only enforce state law, the form of which cannot assume functions reserved by congress for the executive branch. This was recently affirmed by SCOTUS when Arizona was rebuked for trying to make its police perform the duties of ICE. The police are themselves ultimately given duties by congress, as are all militia.(but only the states can install/remove militiamen).
4) as all citizens are subject to federal law, penalties for interference in official matters apply also to state officials. Although no actual removals from office may take place except through state-level protocols, officials may nonetheless be apprehended. Just ask Donnie Newsome, the County Judge Executive of Knott Co. who was convicted of election fraud and spent most of his term incarcerated (although he still carried on the people's business through a deputy).

So yeah, Tazewell's sheriff is not gonna play with this fire. An executive order that withstands the courts (and John Roberts doesn't seem that eager to say anything about most of them, particularly not to Obama) is a federal process directive, and interfering in any agent's execution of it is a federal crime meaning federal time.

John Roberts is your ace in the hole, and he's gonna be in there for at least 25 more years. I'd give up.

Only a true delusional moron would think those currently in uniform are the only ones trained to use assault weapons in real life combat situations and that none of us hillbillies have ever experienced actual combat.
