The sheriffs of several surrounding counties in WVa have stated they will not enforce any of the federal gun controls that are proposed and will uphold the citzens of their respective counties 2nd amendment right.

So how does Tazewell County's Sheriff Heaith feel about this he has made not comments on the subject. And the voter of Tazewell county want to know.

How is our elected state reps feeling no comments from any as yet and none from the Congressmen that I have heard.

It is easy for these dipshit backwood Sheriff's to make those statements because they have no jurisdiction to enforce federal law. Federal law supersedes any other laws in the nation, and only the US Government can take enforcement action for violations of the federal code. A jackass county Sheriff could not enforce a federal law if they wanted to. They are simply making themselves the butt of more jokes throughout the nation.

The county sheriff is elected as the person who decides how Law is implemented. Read the Va constitution. People talk about stuff they have no clue about, no wonder this country is in the shape its in.

States rights is the 10th amendment. Our country is doomed if people do not even know their rights and what our nation was built on. God help us all.

lookitup are you agreeing with me or disagreeing? can't tell by your post. it don't matter you have the 1st amenmend. to the const. I am a frim beliver in the 2nd ammend. and wish there were no guns used to kill. how ever when the people that don't need them get them it hard to tell what will happen. if they take our guns then only the bad guys will have them and pray on the rest of us. this is my 1st ammend right to state it like i see it.

original post is the Tazewell co sheriff going to enforce fed law or state laws or county he need to step forward and take a stand as do our elected officals in the state and fed levels.

The Sheriff can not implement, enforce, modify, or otherwise concern his office with federal law. I can guarantee you that I know the United States constitution better than you. Article VI is the Supremacy clause....read it. You clearly do not know anything about the word jurisdiction. And citing a blog as your source is pathetic. Seriously? I don't need to read the VA constitution because the United States Constitution supersedes it.

I was agreeing with you by saying the 10th amendment lays out states rights. I was just stating that the county sheriff has power in the constitution to protect citizens from unconstitutional law and executive orders. Its in the link i posted above.

None of this matters. The NRA has seen its membership numbers soar up. The amount of the so called "assault" weapon has soared up. It does matter what this president and this congress decides is legal. There is to many people who will fight legally and with force if need be. If they think people are going to just hand over whatever gun they decide is illegal they horribly wrong. The PEOPLE will fight and it will not be pretty. If they wish to usher in the next civil war they will stay on the path they are on. Point blank an to the point a lot of the military does not support most of what this president does and an even bigger number does not support their ideas on guns. Let them try it, We The People dare them to do so.

Its usually the "I'm smarter than everyone" people who have fallen for the systems lines hook line and sinker. They repeat what they are told by the media, which usually consist of worshiping at the alter of the powers that be. The government is God to them and has final say. I say in this country, us the free thinking citizens have the power and they know it! That is why they want us disarmed. Is it any wonder that the criminal bankers and politicians that have robbed us blind do not want us strong and armed.

WTF is just stating the facts. It always cracks me up that those claiming to be patriotic and supporters of the Ccnstitution are the first to threaten insurrection when their own ignorant and misinformed interpretation of 2nd amendment rights is challenged.

The country was formed out of insurrection, maintained and bettered through insurrection. Yet you think will go forward into its future by blindly following a growing tyranny? One that tells us how bad WE are and how WE need to change and all the while is killing all over the world with drones. A tyranny that says it can kill American citizens with no trial, a tyranny that says we can be detained indefinitely. This is not what we are. We are the worlds beacon of hope and freedom, lets act like it and live up to our responsibility. They create problems to offer the solution that is the result they want, steering this country into everything it has always stood against. If we do not admit what we have become we are doomed to repeat history and be another fallen empire.

Our government does not always do the right thing, but I am happy that we have the technology to engage in military action without endangering American lives.
