This is got to be a disgrace to soldiers in the Army if the soldiers had something to do with the 16 year old death. The Army is stalling because they are trying to figure out what actually took place. I am thinking they either drinking and dranked too much or taking some kind of drug. Or the soldier choked them out. Who really knows but the Army is going to have too tell the public something because we want answers. I am sure the parents want too know what happen to their daughter. Also the General is looking bad because why wait untill something of this magnitude to start looking a better barracks policies. All CSM will be called in for meetings to discuss better procedures for the barracks.

My god you have to be joking here...

The military has been assaulting and raping

there own people for years now... Four in

five female soldiers have been assaulted

and or raped by there fellow

servicemen world-wide.... The vast majority

of service - men (used loosely) are either

rapist them-self's, voyeurs or complacent

participants....

I never look at a Military person as a defender

of the American people.... I rather see them

as the are... Losers who feed on the American

Tax dollar..... Personally I'll call them what they

really are,,, mind-less rednecks pretending to

even care what America stands for ..or did at

onetime.... they join the ranks for cash, money

for college (right) or to avoid jail time....

The American people have aloud this

because it's only cheesy brain-dead already

rednecks that do the dyeing...

In short what happened here is they Killed

a young beautiful soul.... they almost killed another...

and tomorrow they will do it again.....

and please don't ever pretend you

give a rats ass for America.. or this would have never

happened.... GOD REST THIS POOR GIRLS SOUL

wtf,
You are a brain dead moron. Slandering our good troops will not bring this girl back. Plus you do not posess the patience or objectivity to find out the facts. The soldiers you denigrate have more manhood than you have in your limp wrist.

God help you if this country has another terrorist attack which is very likely. You'll be praying for our military. Yes, those brave soldiers who put their lives on the line in the name of freedom. You are ignorant. You need to meet some soldiers and see what sacrifices they are making to preserve YOUR FREEDOM AND PROTECT OUR NATION FROM TERORISM.

i definitely agree with freedom team, this is insane, these men even though at times some do resort to the situations that are listed most men choose to put their lives on the line saving us US citizens for freeom... i am very proud of our soldiers & know they dont have to do what they are doing but choose to do so.. in any case this is a horrible situation, but you cant put one persons fault against those who are in the military & doing the right things... i am very proud of my soldier, he's been through a lot & definitely shouldn't be degraded to those terms...

It obviously takes a willing girl to make the dumb mistake she made i'm sad that people like my husband protect your right to speak freely and still you down talk everything that the men of this country have stood for. Your sick praying on the weak to make such a nasty statement.Go do some volunteer work or something but please stay away from our children with your negativity...

I would have to say this is an unfortunate event that took place. I think that, in my opinion, this soldier is mostly resposible of the incident. I feel for the family of the girl, however, it was drug related and I would like to think that this particular girl was not all innocent. She mixed the drugs that, if researched, she should of known could kill her. Unless of course, she was forced to take the drugs. Then its a different story. Most of our younger generation do not realize the effect that mixing some of these prescription drugs can be fatal. I beleive that the soldier shouldn't have offered them to her, of course. I don't think that we have enough education, other than the dare program, on drugs and not just illegal drugs. Prescription drugs are becoming more tempting to experiment with for our young ones. Is there something like MADD that could come into our schools and talk to our teens? As a parent, I definately would not mind someone talking to my child about the effects of these drugs. If they don't want to talk to me about it, I think that I would be ok with them needing to talk to someone else about it. My heart goes out to the family of the girl. I did read in the Guardian that there had been previous issues with this soldier that some were drug related. I was not there, nor do I know this soldier. It is disturbing that things like this happen and make other soldier look bad. Not all soldiers are bad people. As a matter of fact, I personally do not know any bad soldiers. I hope less incidences will happen, but again, this is only my opinion. I guess I went on way too long, I apologize.

Who honestly are you all to demand answers. The only people that deserve to know what happened is the family the police and the court of law that is going to decide who is responsible. Keep your civilian noses in your own pedophile and gang banger towns and fix your crap before you go jumping all over our soldiers. We don't live by some higher standard but because you make it seem like we should soldiers get charged with bs charges like this one.

I agree that this incident has happened is saddening and tragic. A life was lost that shouldn't have and another is injured. However the real question that needs to be addressed in this investigation is: What were 2,16 year girls doing in Army barracks? How did they get by the Guards on duty? Who were with these girls and for waht reason? Just thinking about the possible reasons are distrubing. I was in the military and I loved it very much. Our brothers and sisters deserve to be treated with respect and honor for doing their jobs no matter weather we feel that we should be there or not. We need to bring our brothers and sisters home to defend the homebase "The United States Empire". The soldier or soldiers that are responsible for this incident need to and will be held responsible for their actions, but the soldiers not involved shouldn't be dishonored period. There should be and needs to be a though investigation into these matter.

Really people, you can't just blame the soldier. She was 16, i'm sure PVT Bennitt didn't put a gun to her head and make her take the drugs. I'm sure he didn't force her up to his room, i'm sure he didn't force her into the car or however she got there. You just cannot blame the soldier. Yea it was wrong. What was he doing with a 16 y/o. The media and the army is so quick to punish this soldier......for what happened in his barrack's room, but what about SPC Davilla, who killed two soldiers and brought their baby back to her barrack's like nothing was wrong. She is still waiting her trial, but because this was a civilian the army was quick to prove to the world that we punish our soldiers when they mess up. In all actuality the army has reached it's all time low. We let soldiers who do drugs stay in the service and are looking for ways to let them get treatment, we let soldiers stay in the service if they threaten one of their supervisors......I can go on all day about this, but I'm not. There are 3 sides to every story, his side, her side and the truth and you will never get that. May Leah RIP, but let's not fault this soldier when it may not have been all on him. I'm sure there are more individuals involved and the Army is never going to let you know who they are because to them "Justice has been served" (PVT Bennitt sentencing). I can go on about this, but I will end here.

it has not reached it's all time low, it was the same 30 years ago, the guys brought young girls from occupied countries into the barracks and everybody closed their eyes to it, and that my friend is a fact, I know that because i saw it with my own eyes,

this is retarded!!!you people are dumb!everyone writing dumb stuff about this incident should mind their own firkin business.pvt bennit had dated leah for awhile, their parents knew who he was, they knew where she was and they knew she had experimented with drugs many times before. the news did not tell you that they were dating and pvt bennit was on suicide watch because his girlfriend had passed away. the parents did not press any charges hmmm... i wonder why!she also had a juvenile record and had been expelled from school many times. just get it in your frikin stupid heads, just because we are soldiers it does not mean we are robot made to perfection, every single little wrong thing we do is highlighted by the media and the FREE world. just look at our society and look at the crime rates. soldiers, cops, politicians, prie sts, teachers, convicted criminals, yuppies, pot smokers, nerds, everyone in this society! it is not a special group that we can target and blame for crimes and atrocities that happen in our daily lives!stop judging everyone and everything and get a life!!go volunteer for a hospital do something to help this society instead of sitting on your lazy couch potato fat ass and point fingers while you you eat your frikin mcdonalds!!
