I have had a double mesh (Bard Marlex) across my entire abdominal area for 10 years. Since the day it was put in, I was -- and am -- dealing with pain every day and night of my life. I know this is not much comfort to all of you, but through these years some things have helped somewhat. I take herbs and flaxseed oil for anti-inflammatory. I take 2000 to 3000 mg of Vit C, which also helps to keep bowels moving, I take burdock and do regular detoxification, parasite cleanses, liver detox, heavy metals detox. Take Kelp pills and garlic pills. Ice packs help when the pain is bad and also laying down throughout the day. I wear abdominal binders for support at times. Can't wear it every day due to a hiatal hernia and circulation (blood clots). I take a good probiotic and I eat an organic diet mostly and keep hydrated. These nettings, all seem to be the same.

I also got a mycobacterium infection, had menningitis, infected cysts and I know I have an infection (possibly staph) on the netting. I do herbal antibiotics, support the liver with milk thistle, dandelion and burdock works for cleansing the liver as well. Nothing will make this back to the way it should be, but some of these things might help. I have posted before but here is my email if anyone has any questions about what I'm doing: [email protected] My heart goes out to all of you suffering so much. I understand your pain cause I've been living with it for so long. My netting cannot be removed due to my heart not being able to handle the stress of another surgery. Hope this info about what I do can help some of you in some way.

She'll be gone soon just got off the phone with my lawyer. It's a felony to rip off disabled people , I want to see her non-for profit license . Check her web site begging disabled people for money while saying "God Bless You " Her gang of trolls are everywhere and they do get exposed when we catch them .All she does is steal other peoples work . Then claims to copy right it. Sad when old old people end their life with such desperation to make a buck.
Obviously you are not a.mesh victim. Did the mesh pharma send you? Get a real job and leave Lana and other victims one. This is for people who need support not for bashing other victims.

Stop making accusations without proof. I am disabled because of the mesh and my ring did break! Maybe you became bitter & cold because of your suffering but its not going to help you to bash others. Don't you think all the activism costs money? The reason why there was a fda warning about the tv sling mesh is because of Lana's group. It takes money to travel ,to research and hold conferences etc... in order to get the word out that mesh is killing and hurting people. Obviously it has helped, look at the tv ads and more news outlets are printing the stories of people suffering.
Lana began her own Topix regard to the bladder sling in 2007, search on this site and you will find it.
Again, you should tell your story of mesh horror instead of making false accusations.
Don't bother replying, I already spent too much time giving you attention.

It does not matter if the meshes are recalled. The point is that an injury occurred from the mesh implant. The fda cant say weather one persons mesh has harmed another person. It only matters what it does to each person, in their own body.

Where in the Heck did all this angst come from? In the 4 years I have been on this site I have never seen or read the kind of crap that has come up in the past few days. Chill out children! And if your an outside provocateur nicely done...now please go away. Those of us that are trully injured and victims of mesh really would rather not deal with back door lawyer reps or folks representing themselves as our savior and the whole time its their butt they are covering. Give us a break.....Thank you

I had my orginal surgery by Dr. Mark Brakstad at NW Hospital in Seattle. Then after many attempts to fix the problem by well known internet surgeons, I finally had succuess repair by Dr. Peter S Billing in Edmonds, WA. It has been a few years and had to have adhesion removal but I am doing good,

I've been reading this thread since 2009. My original date "of injury is 11-08". My life as I knew it is gone. I am now on SSDI. At the end of March I had my 8th abd.surgery, when I qualified for medicare. It has been a slow and painful recovery. This last surgery involved a meshectomy, with an abd.com partment procedure, and the placement of Strattice mesh. I have had a reaction to the sutures used so I do not know if I am out of the woods yet. I can report the large hernia is gone and that I can feel an abdominal muscle in place. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I do everything on my end to file adverse reports and I want to thank all of you for the links you provide on this forum. We all need to plow on and keep the message out for those even comtemplating surgery with "polyester" mesh. I type polyester because I don't know how to spell--polyesterwhatever--. Thankyou all.

Why? My post doesn't have anything to do with what All Meshed Up is posting.... I'm certainly not provoking anything and that post was in answer to a post from Sue. Am I missing something?

Thats awesome! My husband needs another surgery but his surgeon is not willing to do it until December. We live very close to Washington and are going to search for an expert. A patient Ive talked with said she got a tummy tuck after several hernia surgeries, and it fixed her problems. Im hoping beyond hope for help for my husband.

I am having stabbing pains all over my stomach. I also see where another person was talking about blood troubles. I have had 10 blood transfusions since this surgery. No doctors can tell me why this is happening. My blood count stays very low. I stay so weak. I get very yucky feeling after I eat. I feel like I am going to throow up. I have trouble standing. I lean when I walk. I have a 9 year old son, and this mess is killing me. I see my surgeon on the 9th to see if she thinks I need to have it removed. Does anyone know of a lawyer in the are of Mobile, AL or Montgomery, AL that is handling the adominal mesh recalls? I need help bad.

Patty, read this article from truth in medicine, there is mention of a
>>>surgeon who has made mesh removal his speciality.<<< I am not a computer person and I can't connect to this T.I.M. site, would you try and if you find some info, would you let us know..

I am relieved to have found others who describe the same symptoms and frustrations. I am an RN and I felt betrayed by my professional peers when the multiple surgeries left me disabled and in chronic pain. Fortunatley I have an excellant PCP, who I saw as soon as my medicare kicked in; he has refered me to a surgeon who has made mesh removal his speciality and it is a scary hopefull day today.

Oh, I see now. Just keep in mind that those classifications are only for the 1100 settled cases against the Kugel mesh with the memory ring. I don't recall what type of mesh he had. This site was originally for that mesh product but, unfortunately, as more and more people are developing severe problems with a myraid of mesh products it gets confusing as to which product is at issue. I can only hope that one day everyone will have received some sort of compensation for all that they have endured. However, as I can vouch, it will never be enough. Since I no longer have an abdominal wall after my mesh explant, I can't even find a surgeon who is willing to operate. Several have said it's too complicated and even if attempted the chances of the surgery being successful is less then 50%.

I had hernia surgery 5 years ago and my entire stomach swells everyday. I have had my glabladder removed and still have a lot of sympteoms such as pain swelling, weight gain and blood. I have CT scans, upper Gi and many other tests. The gastrointestial specialist gave me a general diganoses.....I didn't buy it for a minute. Now I have seen many commercials on TV regarding Mesh recalls and wonder if this is my problem.
