My hats off to the Richfield Police. You people really put your lives on the line to stop this guy. I'm so glad that no one was injured or killed. Sounds like God and the angels were trying to get this guys attention. May be now he will straighten up his act.

Cool. Don't see that everyday. Glad that no innocent people were hurt, though.

What will the girlfriend say to the rental company?
I want my money back?? The engine just went all of a sudden? Another classic example why law abiding citizens pay through the arse for items like this.. Next time, maybe having the boyfriend with no license and drugs in the car, taking his drug tour, is not the brightest thing to do..

She probably wont say anything to the rental company because she's too upset about not getting the drugs she wanted. LOL..Guess you better find another dealer sweetie, I think your boyfriend might be locked up for sometime. I wonder if she can be charged with anything considering she signed for the car?

typical with today's age of drugs everywhere. He's 22 and thinks he can do anything and actually believed he could out run the law. This is an example of video game idiots that instill in an empty brain that you will come back to life and continue unhurt and just keep playing the game. But in real life you get caught or you die and don't come back to play again.
Drugs have to be stopped or civilization as we know it is going to end and we all will go back to living in caves.

soon the claims of racial profiling will be posted. Mr. Jaksun was afraid - that is why he was running

Well at least he was smart enough not to shoot the cops in the head 4 times at point blank range because he was scared. That's thug mentality for you. They'd rather die in a car accident than get busted with drugs. Maybe they have the right idea...if prison is as bad as they say it is..at least then my tax dollars wont be suppoeting him.

She should be charged as an accomplice, I am sure she knew exactly why the car was being rented. They should both be forced to pay restitution to the rental company, and the police department. Taxpayers should not be forced to pick up the tab.

My suggestion for years has been if you are caught with drugs you should be forced to use all of the ones you are caught with. Drug overdoses will save taxpayers a lot of money on trials. If you want to throw your life away who are we to argue.

The crook should have used a recalled Toyota that hasn't been fixed yet to make his escape. Lol. At least no one was injured or killed though.

That's usually not uncommon. Rental companies only keep vehicles until they reached the 100,000 mile limit (which is the average life span of a car) so they get rid of them and buy new cars to replace them so its no surprise the car had a temporary tag on them. They don't care who owns the car but you still need a temporary tag until you can obtain a regular plate. They probably were in the process of transferring the new car's information on a license plate they already had and that's why it had temporary tags.
