While on the subject of Battery B, Bobbo should've drug out the tale of Two Max Drive, as well. I think it's been vacated, but ran between Grant and Bellows just south of the long-gone Beltline tracks. A sign still exists, last I saw, at Grant.

A number of cities have publications on origins of their street names. It would be interesting to have someone in Akron put one together.

If you like the traffic light you'll love the bridge over I-480 in Twinsburg.... the bridge to nowhere that ODOT feels must be maintained even though there is no intent to connect it to a "real road" according to the mayor.

Bob: Speaking of streets in Goodyear Heights, what's with all the American Indian names, ie, Mohawk, Tonawanda, Niagra, some I can't even spell... I do love the Hts!

What is behind the name "Super Genius Circle?" It really does exist on the southeast side of Akron.

How about Packard Drive, Peerless(yes there was once such a car), Winton(made in Cleveland) and other auto themed names in the Copley Rd. district?
