Better watch out Richfield residents, BoBo D says that they might build a parochial school and challenge the public schools in the playoffs.

This isn't about zoning. This is about a bunch of Richfield residents not wanting a Hindu temple. If this was a Christian church, it wouldn't be an issue. Freedom of religion folks. It is pretty simple.

Do Christian Churches have to be approved before they are built? What is the reason for this opposition and why are we so intolerant of others and their differences.

Apparently there's room for only one god in Richfield. Sorry Vishnu, Brahma, Shiva, and the rest. You'll have to locate elsewhere.

Congratulations to the people of the temple. This is good news to hear. Congratulations to the people who have blogged and understand this is about a church and about a very respected religion. I said it when this began and I'll say it again. If you want good neighbors welcome the Hindus with open arms. I would love to have them for my neighbors. These are people who truly practice what they preach and have a profound respect for humanity.

We have freedom of religion in this country. That does NOT mean christian only. I personally am Catholic and do not mind other religions. They can move to the Kent area. We are more accepting here.

I see nothing wrong with residents wanting to challenge this. On one hand, we do have freedom of religion.....but on the other hand, we've established local governments to help reflect the will of each community.

Let's just allow the legal process to run its course.

The Zoning code in Richfield is pretty clear. See for yourself, you can find the code on their website. Churches are allowed in Residential areas. This challenge is a waste of our tax payers money.

The bomb-building facility???? Looks like poster MORONS has chosen a perfect name.

The Hindu religion is based on the principles of non-violence and respect for all life forms. Does the name Gandhi ring a bell?

I would think that a congregation of passive vegetarians would be lovely neighbors! What are the Concerned Citizens of Richfield so worried about? Wrong religion? Wrong color?

Passive vegetarians? I got two words for ya....Tandori Chicken! Love it! Raj Mahal, in Montrose, makes a great batch. Recommend all try it. I guess the Sacred Chicken missed out! LOL!

As for MORON, relax. He/She was only havin' fun!

I was giving the benefit of the doubt that the poster, with his screen name, was making a joke.

Lots of Hindus eat chicken, fish, shellfish, goat, etc.

Certainly cultural and racial bias is an issue here.

I wish they'd build a 47-story temple

to Wicca in that pathetic town and

then rename the place, "Witchfield".
