What an appropriate testimonial. The last time I saw El Moyote was at a local bank. He came up and said hello ( I am a '64 grad) and asked me how my brother Alex was ('62). When my father retired as a janitor in the school district after 40 years of service, my father was asked how much schooling he had had. El Moyote replied, "6 years of schooling and 64 years of education and training new principals. In our hearts Moye's Boys number in the thousands.

What a truly wonderful person "Mr. Moye" was! Along with Kayo Perez at Bowie, and Coach Jarvis at EPHS.
(Canuto and Alex were good at shuffleboard, too.) |

Congratulations on your 60th celebration! My aunts and uncles went to Jeff, my entire family went to Bowie so you can imagine the intense rivalry at our family get togethers whenever we played each other in sports.

My dad went to Jeff and is a Moye's boy. I learned dedication and passion from my dad, likely something Moye instilled in him. And now as a father, I am trying to pass on the same. Mr Moye's legacy and influence in El Paso cannot be overstated.
Rest in Peace Moyote. |

Gloria, Robin and Bertha (Class of 1973) will be travelling from San Antonio to be there and see la raza! We challenge the rest of the class to attend this great event. We are all very sorry that Mr. Moye is no longer with us -- he was the true motivator for us to make these events. He would always ask for my "little mother" - Mary Tellez and my ex and name him by his nickname! Mr. Moye was truly a rarity - humble, sharp as a tack, and a very caring and loving individual. I miss you! Bert

Jefferson will always be the best.
a very unique school with lots of pride and tradition. Go Foxes!!!! |

Even though I went to a different high school, I always thought that the Jefferson students and definitely, the alumni, were the greatest people. In my heart, I feel that I am a "Fox".

Moye was an inspiration to all. So how long will it take administration to figure out that "Coach Pete" needs to go. What is it now? 10 Years and still no success? Whats wrong with this picture? Bring back Moye!
