Body of 27-year-old man found near Dairy Queen in Far North Dallas 6:58 Am CT

The Tarrant County medical examiner's office has identified the 27-year-old man who was found dead in a parking lot near Dairy Queen.

Another murder in this neighborhood. How sad. I have lived in the area for 20+ years. Things have really changed over the last 3 years. You can see the drug dealers doing their thing on that corner 24-7. They taunt people that use the convenience store, the pool hall, and the DQ. The pizza delivery places in the area will not deliver to a slecct group of appartments for fear of being jumped and robbed.

I lived in the area about four years ago and it was a much better place to live then. As stated by the previous post, it's common knowledge that this corner (and the next) are overrun by street dealers and all types of thugs. If we know it, why don't the cops know it? Do they not care? Where are the patrols, surveillance, whatever is necessary to drive the cockroaches back into their crevices? WE NEED A MORE PREVALENT POLICE PRESENCE IN FAR NORTH DALLAS.

This area has become a horrible nightmare to live in. I have lived in the area for the last 10 years in various apartmets. I would have to say within the last 2 to 3 years it has became a serious problem. Just a couple of examples Drug lab in apartment.....(Triden Village Apartments) Murder suicide...(Keystone Apartments) Shootings in broad daylight while kids played (Players Club Apartments) Horiffic murder that was bad enough to make 48hrs on AE (Rosemeade Court apartments) plus the gas pipe murder, Mike Irwin incident now this murder at dairy queen. The police really need to up their duties in this entire area. Crime is gonna happen everywhere but come on when is it enough that they actually will do something about it?

Your damn straight...this city is too busy harrassing our young gentlemen that actually graduated school and trying to make decent livings. I've lived in the city for 15 years..gone through five robberies,and every time there is nothing Carrollton police can do.Woke up one morning at 4 am to police walking neighborhood with flashlights looking at parked vehicles in driveways. We asked what they were dong and they replied looking for out dated inspections and registrations. Ya whatever.macolm hickson had been arrested for carrying a hand gun into one of the local tabacco and beer stores just a couple of months before this killing. the miniumum punishment should have been 5 yrs. He was out in 5 weeks. He should'nt have been on the streets to kill anyone..i guess they let him keep his gun to.Talk about tainted police work. Very suspicious.

I used to live in this area about 2yrs ago,i have since moved out of state,thank God!i recall not too long ago this being a nice safe community,well that was before Katrina.
