I am so thankful for this grant. The current wastewater system stinks up Rich Creek so bad, it is almost unbearable to pass but I have a feeling ACTING town manager Roger Jones will screw this up some how. Its a wonder he didnt try to fire Rick Boucher for trying to help with this grant.

Guess what,I have heard so much about this Jones guy.how can he work for the town of Rich Creek when he lives in Wva,just like Narrows had someone and he didnt have a home in Narrows, but yet Narrows let a good one go because his house lack a few feet being in Town of Narrows.Whats going on in Giles Co.Out of state people trying to run our towns and dont even own a home here.At least that is what I hear and I belive to be trueNow the grant, they should not go up on the water bills, after all, they are not the ones paying for it.

yes he does live out of town, but his title is acting town manager. He has done a lot for the small town of Rich Creek. He just always gets blasted when stuff that dont happen the way people think it should. As far as the grant, it is more of a loan than a grant, and if you want to know all the facts go to a meeting for yourself rather than listen. From what I was told one of the conditions of this loan is an increase in fees just in order to obtain the money

Hey "go to meetings", he has been "acting" town manager for HOW LONG NOW? Last I checked, the town charter states that the town manager shall move to reside within the corporate limits in the amount of time his first term is. Secondly, he needs to attend some hygiene classes. He is the most improfessional town manager I have ever seen. He smells, his clothes are filthy, and he is so improperly dressed. And please purchase the man a pack of razors to shave. As for the grant, if they would get someone in the town that had a little bit of common-sense, they would have never put a shit plant in the middle of the community. What idiots.

first off, this "grant" hasn't been approved by the town yet, why it was publicated is beyond me. Also, from what I've seen it a MAJOR mistake for Rich Creek. If this is approved the town will no longer have a say in what it does charge for water services. It also is leaning WAY to much in favor for Glen Lyn. There must be a better solution....
People get on here and cry and whine about so much, it so disappointing. Mr. Jones does an excellent job for the town. He's an on hands manager. Not a smuck that sets behind a desk all day. For a small town, thats the kind of manager you need. Ever think thats why his clothes look alittle rough some days? Apparently you have never did a days worth of manual labor in your life (ive been to meetings)
As to where he lives, WHO CARES? As long as he does his job it shouldn't matter. You talk about Narrows getting rid of their manager. He wasn't that great of a manager. A paper pusher is all. You'd never see that man in a ditch. Also, Narrows has had an acting manager for years now that lives up Wolf Creek. He's NOT in the town limits. WHO CARES???

He's never had an odor around me, maybe you're smelling yourself??
Let me guess, you're not even a resident of Rich Creek. If you happen to be and you don't like how things are ran here, RUN FOR COUNCIL OR MAYOR!! Then you can fire him and do all the work yourself. I'm willing to bet you couldn't come close to doing a better job.....

I am a resident of Rich Creek, VA and I am sorry that someone would write such poor language about one of my neighbors or town workers. I thank our town workers for a job well done to keep our town afloat and working for the majority of it's citizens. I know they cannot please everyone all the time, but the right thing to do is PRAISE and not tear-down. Let's work at working together! Let's work at commenting better to our neighbors and town workers. You just might find-out one day you sure could use help from them!

What does being a resident of poor-creek have anything to do with rogers odor? The least he can do is tuck his shirt in and pull his pants up to look a little professional. He looks like an idiot, acts like an idiot......well, he is an idiot.

I do, I live in Narrows and if the acting town manager lives out of town that is one thing, but both places need to get a manager that lives in town, and for you info Roger Jones does not live in WV and I know this to be a fact, but now Narrows has plenty of people who could do the job of Town Manger and by the way how many times have you see our town manger in a ditch. NOT
