You cant stop a drug problem with jailtime.... then inmates sit in prison and still use drugs and alot come out with a bigger problem than they started with. Until our government figures out a treatment besides incarceration its an evolving door. Which generates revenue so its not gonna clean up this community or any other.

If they would stop giving them suspended sentences and make them pull all their sentenance it would wake them up they get a suspended sentence and go right back to the pills.....you play you pay

As long as the druggies are in jail, the rest of us can lay down at night and go to work and don't have to worry about our homes being broke into.I says lock all of them up.I understand some people make mistakes, but being a career criminal thats a different story.

I think if anyone receiving government assistance should lose it if they get any type of drug charge. If they can afford drugs then they can afford their own damn food to!

good time rate in Va is one of the toughest, 85% time is what an inmate pulls. But mostly they are using drugs in the system, I know I have been there myself before I got my shit togethor. They go in with a junkie mentality and come out with a junkie mentality. Incarceration only lasts so long texas and they are out again to "break in your home again" The biggest time cut is the reward for information leading to a drug arrest and that just lets a drug user get out quicker to break in your home again. Rehab should be mandatory on any drug case at eh end of the sentence so they come out with a fresh attitude to stay away from drugs.

Most of the ones who get arrested and go to jail end up telling on others that are doing drugs or distributing that leads to more arrests. They should all have to do their whole sentence that would wake them up

Its never gonna happen look at micah titar or however its spelled they should have built the jail around that boy n he's walking free he will buy as an informant for the cops they pay him and he uses the money he was given to go buy some drugs for himself its a never ending cycle with the police protecting the same people they are incriminating drugs have no morals its a disease and its infested this county the police need to stop helping the losers but most of them are guilty of doing things they're arresting other people for they just haven't been caught by the right one yet
