MTA details toll lane plans for 10 and 110 freeways

Commuters could pay up to $12.60 in tolls to drive 9 miles of carpool lanes on the San Bernardino Freeway that would be converted into a toll road from Baldwin Park to downtown L.A., transit officials said Monday.

Where is this money going?-it may not even go to Los Angeles. Remember the freeways were paid for in the 50's.

Something you already paid for? We actually don't pay for our roads. What we pay in taxes doesn't cover the costs of up-keep for the roads we have in California.

Also, the toll is only to use the HOV lane without the requisite number of people in the care with you. It doesn't cost you to use the other lanes on the FREEway.

This is a pandora's box to taxing all lanes down the line. Did you vote for the HOV lanes to be tolled? I didn't. You can't be that gullable.

If it's a FREEway why are we being TOLL TAXED now without this being voted on?

Also, how do you know where they toll money is going. They won't talk about it.

I voted for someone that voted for the toll tax. It's called a republican form of government. And it'll never go to all the lanes being taxed. Ever. Take that to the bank.

Ok, so the government is about to implode financially -especially LA- and you honestly don't think they will try any tricks in the book that we allow them to get away with more taxing. I have a bridge I'd like to sell you.

You're alright, but you're going to be wrong on this. First they floated this idea as a trial balloon a couple of years ago and said they were just thinking about it. Well, here it is. I gaurentee you we will have another one of these chats within the next few years when they ask to expand the tolls.

A lot of the toll companies are controlled by offshore companies with headquarters overseas. For instance in Texas the companies collecting the tolls are Spanish and the money goes to the companies, not the cities and counties.

This is part of a new plan being implemented globally called agenda 21 where countries hand over sovereign rights to global buracracies.

We will see but in the mean time we need to boycott these damn lanes.
