What a sad situation. I hate to hear that sort of news. I have a bad attitude about the entire situation. Either get in there and get the job done or get out and let them suffer with their own problems. It shouldn't be costing us our sons and daughters and it's been going on long enough.

Go ahead ... I'm ready for the bashing against me!!! LOL

I knew Titus when he was a student in Reynoldsburg. He was kind and funny, and very well-liked. He grew into a good man who took on a tough task for the good of all. I am proud to have known him. My prayers are with his family.

I have the greatest appreciation and utmost respect for all US soldiers fighting for our freedom. Saying "thank you" to Sgt Reynolds doesn't seem enough... my thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones. Thank you, Sgt Reynolds, for laying down your life so that we can live in freedom. "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends." (Jn 15:13)

To J Harris & UNREAL - We three seem to be of the same opinion concerning this war. I am also weary of our efforts and we must come to some consensus as to our goals and length of stay. I respect all the sacrifices of the men and women in the military who are doing their duty, God Bless each and every one of them, they are the best this nation has to offer.
UNREAL - I sincerely hope no one bashes you, any respectable person should agree that we either stay and get it done right or leave them as we found them.

I spoke with my mother this week on the phone. She feels the same way as you. She watched my brother deploy for "over there" this week. You see, he does not feel it is just someone else's problem. Men and women like him feel it is OUR problem to deal with things like this BEFORE they come knocking at YOUR front door.

And unfortunately freedom ALWAYS comes at a cost. Men and women who enter the armed services agree to give for their country. For most, it is just time and a great deal of energy. However for some, it requires much more. If my brother or other family members give any of those costs, I would be honored because they proudly serve the country they love in the manner they have chosen, as this young man had. He should be honored for the job he was doing for his family and his country and the sacrifice he gave and we should all honor the family's wishes.
