Ward 5 Councillor Rosa DiFlorio Announces for State Representative

Rosa DiFlorio has officially announced her candidacy to fill the vacated 28th Middlesex State Representative seat that serves the city of Everett. The special election takes place on April 2nd. A near lifelong resident and longtime business owner, Rosa DiFlorio will focus her efforts on building a better Everett through responsible fiscal management and spending, improving after school programs and community activities to ensure that Everett youths develop positive skills necessary to become successful as they age, reducing crime in the city as well as working to establish a friendly tax code that will help both businesses and residents flourish in Everett. Rosa also believes strongly helping the citys elderly population whom Rosa notes as major stakeholders in Everett and deserving of the benefits needed to assist in their day to day living.

I am a people person. I live and work in Everett. I speak with people every day and I have heard about their growing concerns for our community. I love this community and will fight for the people of Everett. My experience over the past eight years on the Everett Common Council gives me the right skills and talents to help Everett continue to be the great place it is to live and work, said Rosa DiFlorio.

This is her first run for a State Representative seat, but she has earned a great amount of experience representing Ward 5 for the Everett Common Council since being elected for the first time in 2005. She has based her tenure on the council on the attributes of honesty, integrity and perseverance.

I will work for you. I feel that too many important issues are swept under the rug in favor of playing politics. Its time for a new voice, new ideas and better policies.

Rosa DiFlorio emigrated with her family at the age of 7, who came to reap the benefits of the American Dream which come as a result of hard work and personal conviction. She is married to Michele DiFlorio and is the mother of five sons Matthew, Carl, Frankie, Mikey and Rocky. She has lived in Everett for her entire 50 years in the United States and is the co-owner of DDM Ceramic & Tile Imports located in Everett. If you would like any more information on the campaign to elect Rosa DiFlorio please call 617-407-860 or email [email protected]

Wayne is also connect to the mayor. Carlo gave him his position on the housing authority. I don't know who I will be voting for in the general election. I know it won't be Wayne.

The issues mentioned by the candidate have little or no relevance to the duties of a state representative.

Rosa and Dennis are both independents. They do not belong to a political party, so they do not have to be nominated.

Isn't rosa the one who helped get the Mayor's position a $35k raise. She stated because other mayors of other cities get paid $105k a year or Fat mayor should get the raise also and every year the city will re visit his pay and see if the position needs another raise. Well who has to pay for this we do the tax payers. Sure put someone in a position that wants to give big raises at this time of our unstable economy.

Rosa thanks but no thanks
Please vote for Joe McGonagle

Didn't Rosa's husband land a job for the City when their house was on the foreclosure block? I wonder if she drives DeMaria's kids to school?

Anybody know if Rosa works/worked in the private sector? If so what kind of job? Does she work now? I read on her facebook page that she considers herself a politician.

I always laugh when Rosa stands up and says she is for the taxpayer yet turns around and gives the mayor a hugh raise. It's called talking out both sides of your a$$.

Maybe her and Menino could have a charity debate. Now that would be a better gig than the best comedians in the country.

Lastly, Rosa, what was the highest level math class you've taken?

Please do a write in for Joe McGonagle ! Hanlon is down Everett square with his possey holding signs and hoping he will be a write in also.
When you go to vote on the ballot there will be a space for you to chose a write in of your choice instead of the ones listed on the ballot.

Just write in Joe McGonagle and put a check mark.

Thanks

I wish that both Joe McGonagle and John Hanlon would sit down and agree on 1 of them being write ins. This would make it a lot easier to decide who should be our State Rep. The way it is going now, they will split the votes and that disgraceful councillor would still be elected. He has fed so many of the seniors (and others) so much political propaganda that you won't be abe to sway them. Another thing, he gets these unions to support him, but have you ever seen him in work clothes and isn't he always around the city? When does he find time to work. Come on guys, get together. We only have 1 week left.

I've seen it too with city trucks on Dyer Ave. She owes Carlo too much and can't support phonies like that. He's not the only one though and that happens because Carlo is playing games with the City Service Director job. He's making it all political for re-election. Shame on him to toy with Everett residents like that
