The casino will not only affect East Boston residents, but Revere too. I live right around the corner from Suffolk Downs, across the street from the Police/Fire station in Revere. Having a casino in my "backyard" will only bring the value of my house and the community down. Traffic will be horrible and the crime rate will increase!! I'm sure the first few years the casino/hotel will be beautiful, but will happen in 5? 10? 15? 20? years??? It will be a run down dump!! VOTE NO!!!
I agree

Traffic is brutal now, imagine when the casino opens! We will need helicopters to get home!

Has anyone ever considered the impact a casino will have on their auto insurance rates?Did you know that Eastie residents already pay thru the nose for every accident that occurs at either Logan Airport or every accident that happens inside the Callahan, Sumner and the Ted Williams tunnels. The State of Mass. calculates all these accidents against the residents of East Boston. It doesn't matter is Uncle Pete from Manchester NH is picking up cousin Delores from Oklahoma and crunches his car at the mouth of the Teddie. The State says it happened in Eastie. All these accident, and there are many many every day only drive the insurance rates to the highest in the State. Uncle Pete will get his car fixed and continue to enjoy his low insurance rates while the people of Eastie will continue o be screwed over by the State Auto Insurance board. More than likely a great bunch of people from Newton/ Wellesley area who will continue to receive their low auto insurance premiums. Now if you factor in a giant casino right in the heart of Eastie well you know there won't be any fender benders, right. Lmao

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Virgo

You have a very high opinion of a certain person today, believing that they can do no wrong. But how realistic are you being? It looks as though you're viewing the world through rose-colored glasses, which is fine if it's only a temporary state but quite another matter if you're deliberately ignoring problems and pretending that they don't exist.
