Sad article really.
Why don't cities and towns in Mass allow homeowners to protect themselves and their property? Call 911 Call 911 is the motto.
Let me ask you this: If a crook knew he/she might get shot/killed if they broke into a house do you think that crook would break into that house? No way Jose!!
I recently got called 35 times by the asswipe mayor of Everett to remind me of a CHRISTMAS tree lighting yet not a wimper when 2 banks and a business get robbed and the city in lockdown. There's no problem in Everett what a crock!!
Ask a cop how many robberies/break-ins happen per day. I think I'd be extremely accurate if I said 30 but I think I'm on the low side.

Their was no mention about the robberies or the shooting on Linden St. on the news. Your right I think the crime stats are not what they appear to be. Just last night their was a car broken into and a car stolen. In my opinion the crime rate , especially robberies goes up at Christmas time by people that are low on money or maybe unemployed trying to give their family a good Christmas even if it means stealing from others.

I never heard a thing about a shooting on Linden st. until I just read it here. But I will say this. I walk my 4 yr. old to school down Linden st. everyday. And if I ever have an incident I will use the freedom of information act and file suit against the city, the mayor and the police chief. I will take more money from this shithole than King Arthurs did. I will also because they are civil servants file charges of dereliction of duty charges against the Mayor and Police chief.

They're not doing us any favors by not telling us about crime. If I knew my neighbor's house was broken into, I would probably be more cautious.

The shooting on Linden Street was covered up - zip info on any of the news channels or Thursday's Everett paper .... It did happen but no one I know seems to know any of the circumstances (?? domestic abuse, random shooting, drug-related perhaps ????) no facts known - except it did happen. A good guess would be drug-related or ILLEGALS after one another....Anyone have any facts about this shooting ???
