I'm a 'foreigner' who moved to Revere when I was 10 from Europe. I understood this place was full of attitude from the get go but guess what, I've been living here for over 20 years now and I love this place. Sure it has shitbags you could meet anywhere but there's also awesome people. Much like most other places.

For those Revere 'homebodies' who call others foreigners. Please shut the hell up. Your grandparents were likely foreigners in Revere also so you need to cut your shit and shush.

These so called "italians" in Revere are the furthest thing from real Italians so they are only really 'Italians' because of association. Most of these people have never seen Italy so they're about as Italian as that dumbass Snookie is. There is of course good Italians with manners but 90% of the ones who live in Revere are on a high horse pretending to be Italians while never actually visiting Italy in their life.

I say we should. have more hookers. who buy the drugs from the dealers who pay the cops. Now that is butter all of us, because the cops will not ask for raise and we will not have to pay higher taxes. The best of both worlds in Revere MA.

not to mention a corrupt police force and city council. But there is something about revere people its like they all got a chip on there shoulder and think its normal to resort to violence over the smallest things. Its drugs and gangs can not be downplayed though because even west of broadway has had a rash of shootings and home invasions which im sure had nothing to do with the Italians.
Is it still that way now in 2014? I'm asking because I have just moved to Boston and want to find a cheap place to live. The beach seemed so inviting but I don't want to be around the kind of people you described though.

I grew up in Revere and has it changed from when I was kid, sure it has like every other town around it ( Malden, Everett, Chelsea, East Boston, Saugus, but the towm doesn't make it bad, the people living in it do....Where I grew up was and is still a great place ( Wentworth Road by the Whalen School) My parents still live there with my sister and one thing is for sure the people of Revere are PROUD and they stick together. I don't think that can be said of many other cities.....I believe that there are two kinds of people in this world (those that are Italian and those that wish they were!!!). That's all I have to say on the matter.

Not to mention the way people act with a car full of people. Nobody gets out at the same time like a group of normal people, everyone has to get out one at a time, in order to intimidate an otherwise harmless person walking by. I don't get it. Knock that off, it's ridiculous. Not to mention if you're walking by someone who's just parked their car, they go to their console, or pretend to be looking for something, and wait for you to walk by, so that you can hear them slam their car door... Then moments later hear their car beep to let you know that your car has been locked. I hate all of you. You all suck. Revere is full of insecure ***holes and c*nts. Also... The staring... STOP IT! The problem with Revere... Is all of it's inhabitants, not the gangs, or drugs... It's everyone. You're all the same, don't single yourself out because you're white and drive a nice car. Mike, Sorry to hear about your bad experience in Revere. I currently live there and agree that there are the kind of people you described living there. However, you have to remember one thing is that Revere is changing with the development of higher end apartment developments. You are correct that there Italians that act that way. I am Italian descent and I see that there are several generations of Italians that act arrogant and beleive they are in the mafia, some of them do have ties to the old Mafia but it isn't what you think it is. I moved here in 1998 to be close to the beach and really not much has changed in those 19 years except within the last 2 years. Revere has been in a stand still because of it's aging politicians who have squandered development in this city and are interested only in lining their pockets from apartment developers by allowing mega apartment structors to be built while the Revere infrastructure remains the same.

On the other hand you have the dipshits that own the delapadated buildings on Revere Beach and delapadated businesses that have been there since the 1950's and don't want to do anything to improve. A representation of the bigots, spoiled brats and mafioso wannabe's can be found all working at Bianchi's Pizza on Revere Beach. It's filled with low lifes racist bigots that work there and treat customers like shit. They get away with it because it's been on the beach since the 1960's.

I would say stick around Revere for longer as it is at the very beginning of a change.

Anyone ever see civilian detail flagmen working in Revere? With all the detail duty exclusively available to the police in our city, you're right, the police don't , if they wish, ever have to ask for a raise.

Yes but Everett will soon become an exception. Once the casino is completed only those who display the most refined behaviors and breeding will be permitted to enter our city and enjoy Wynn's gift to the residents who voted overwhelming to allow this cultural center to be built exclusively within the city's borders. Then again, if the suckers really want to play and they arrive flush with cash and credit cards, in a spirit of inclusion maybe they'll also be permitted to mingle with Everett's elite.

Among the most appealing things remaining at the Revere Beach ever since the state selfishly expropriated much of its oceanfront properties a number of years ago, in order to satisfy its greedy donor base real estate developers, is the quality of Bianchi's Pizza. Whether or not those who work there exhibit the character deficiencies you describe, the pizza product they produce, in the estimation of many, rivals that of the North End's Pizza Regina and East Boston's Santarpio's.

Revere is strange to me. One West Revere group wants to split from "Broadway and Beach Revere" One day I had to go to Shirley Ave. I parked in back of a store and walked out to the street. There were a few dozen "Buddist Monks" with gold-orange robes walking in and out of stores, other people [about ten were wearing purple robes from Thailand?} and many other people. I heard no one speaking English. Then I had to go to West Revere to pick up a friend from Los Angeles who was staying. Nice areas with lawns and well kept houses with "Lots of wrought iron" all over their property. Revere has two different styles, and their police department always get terrible publicity. A cop last week, handcuffed a five year to a post in the cellar and beat him, that was in the press as far as New York City
