I HOPE YOU ARE TESTED AND THE KIDS ARE TOOK, THEY WILL BE BETTER OFF. Low life parents need to be took off the system. The kids are probably not being feed the way it is.

Most of the people who work hard to earn the money you freeloaders take have to be drug tested to work. You should all be tested before you get any handouts and do jail time if positive.

Hell yes!! Tell her, Rufus!!! Vote for Mitt Romney!! He'll end food stamps, Social Security, Medicare and all that crap!! If they can't work, let them starve!! You're in a wheelchair? Can't walk? Oh well. Work or starve. I don't care. Welfare is unconstitutional and illegal. Ron Paul is right: let 'em die! I don't wanna pay for more illegitimate kids!!

I'm tired of paying for freeloaders. Rufus is right...us good folks making $7.25 an hour with no insurance have it made. Why share? Our Founding Fathers set it up as survival of the fittest. Can't survive on your own? Then die. End of story. And if you have a retarded kid, don't expect me to keep it up. It's your fault for pumping out a defective kid.

A woman with 4 kids = $800.00 a month in food stamps. So, a woman with 8 kids = $1,600 a month. These women need to be fixed and not a breeding machine. If they had to get out and work to support these kids they might not be so quick to lay on their backs.

Demand paychecks, not food stamps!!! I'm far from being financially sound and I don't turn to hard WORKING, tax paying citizens to help me. Why? Because my financial troubles are MY problem, not anybody elses. If my paycheck is crappy and I'm hungry, that means its time to stock up on Ramen noodles and spaghetti. Please understand that I do feel for the folks who fall on their face and need help but why should that be my problem and come out of my check? In tough economic times like these, it should be every man for himself. Us hard working folks can't afford to share our income just because you're having a hard time. If you can't get it together then here's a word for you that I've heard my whole life...TOUGH!!! I'm sure if you were busting your ass and EARNING your money, you wouldn't be so happy to see hundreds deducted from your check going to people who you've never met who claim to be "having a hard time."

This drug test the foodstamp people is ignorant.

Virginia or West Virginia did this same thing and they abandoned it after such a huge loss. Basically they tested everyone that received stamps. They ended up saving like $800k. Sounds great right? Wrong it ended up costing over $3million for them to test everyone so they ended up losing like 2.2 million dollars.

The simple fact is this, if someone is going to get tested they will have a time to come in to do it. Its not like it could be random. People buy that stuff that cleans them out or they drink a lot of water and things don't show up. The government is just out even more money than before. Give me the 1 million and I can tell them up front it will save them money not to do this.

This is just another cog in the machine of the top 10 percent trying to make something harder on the poor people. Screw those guys, everyone who receives foodstamps aren't druggies or tramps.

I can see helping someone get back on their feet, but food stamps become a way of life for so many in this county. Then there children grow up with the same mind frame that someone owes them a living. It should be work or starve for the ones that are able to work.

Dumbass I smoke 1 5 dollar joint a week = 20 dollars a month. Sorry but 20 dollars isnt gonna feed my kids for a month. I would still need my food stamps even if I didnt smoke weed, however I would have alot more stress and anxiety if I didnt smoke. Now I do believe that if people are doing hardcore drugs then yes they should lose their foodstamps and their kids but weed is not a drug and thats what they are going to find the most of when the start drug testing kentucky. If you are spending 40 dollars a day on ur habit then yeah you dont need foodstamps but foodstamps are based on your income and the state says your income is not enough to buy food for all month meaning even if you didnt do drugs your income is still so low that the state says you need help.

I imagine half these fools agreeing with this are on foodstamps.

I'm not on foodstamps but I am sure I know people who are. And what I said above still stands. It is an ignorant path they are walking down. Because again, they have no way of making this drug test a surprise.

A common myth is that you can beat a drug test, not true. Also I have personally encountered people attempting to sell food stamps for cash, or buying food products covered on foodstamps that they can sell or trade for a pill. how is this fair? Drug testing is needed for you to be elgible for assistance of any type, and if you fail then you don't need your children. This includes a $5 joint,$5 can buy you gas for a job, or two noghts worth of dinner,$5 a week, which ends up being 280/yr...that adds up to alot, more than I ever spent on cloths or food.

It took me 12 bucks at Wallmart to buy 3 pairs of boxers. 20 bucks for one pair of jeans. 12 more dollars to get 4 flimsy white undershirts thats tear easy, that I wear as shirts.
And you want me to believe you've never fucking spent 280 on clothes? You're a liar. Or delusional. Or a dulusional liar.

It's a family tradition. My 2 stepkids live down there and their mother got $250 a week in child support from my husband and I had them on my health insurance plan at my job, but she still collected AFDC, Medicaid, WIC and Food Stamps. Plus she was on HUD housing and her father owned the house she lived in. You name it, if it was free, she got it. She went on a cruise to Jamaica and other fancy trips, while we worked hard at our jobs and could barely make our house payment. If you tell a lawyer about it to get them caught for welfare fraud, the lawyers tell the man to keep his mouth shut or he will have to pay back all the money she got from welfare. As soon as my stepdaughter got 18 and spit out a kid, she did the same thing. My stepdaughter said, "Hey that's free money, you're stupid if you don't get what you got coming." Like I said, it's a tradition passed down from generation to generation and drug testing may put a dent in it. They definitely need to take closer looks at each case and make it a little harder to get.
