please don't be dumb. 1001 is a location, a street where lots of hard working people live. Are you assuming it's bad area or you know factually becasue you've spent sometime there? I lived there for 7 years. I happen to be WHITE and some of the nicest people i've ever met live on 1001. Please don't judge an entire group of people based on rumor.

I'm glad hes off the street, but hes probably just small time,I mean $600 and some dollars really, When you catch someone more higher up the drug chain, when you bust someone who has tens of thousand of dollars, then report it that's news.

I have lived in Stanardsville for 42 yrs. I know what goes on down 1001. That is where the home invasion took place with Taybronne White, as well as an axe fight back in the late 80's. All because of drugs. It is also where a knife fight took place in the late 90's over some fake drugs that ended up costing the lives of two people. So with that in mind 1001 is the "HOOD" of Greene County.

Actually the knife fight that took 1 life and the man who committed that crime hung himself in jail, all happened in the early '00 not late '90's.

Good for you. I've lived in teh county all my life and as I stated I lived on 1001." Hood" really? Are you sure you know what A "Hood" is? Yes, there have been horrible incidents that have taken place in teh location. I think the Media took care of exploting that. However there are very good hard working families that live in the neighborHOOD.The people there struggle economically, however it doesn't make them lower class citizens. People should be judged on their charicter and not their location. Get off your high horse and carry your self down there. Meet the people who live there. I guys next this will become about race. Cause only black folks sell drugs, black folks that live in teh hood...right???

Its nice to see some people have nothin better to do with their time than to comment on something that they have no clue about. You cant believe everything you read and hear. Everyone knows the media puts their own twist on things and eventually the truth will be out there to whom it concerns. Not to those who wanna pass judegement on those they dont know. Sweep your own porch before you step on some else's.

I would like start off by saying what happened to innocent until proven guilty? What gives anyone the right to judge anyone? And why are you ppl surprised it didn't happen on 1001? Sounds a bit racial to me so get a life. And as far as this situation The blue Ridge Narcotics Team thought they were running into something a lot bigger and was fooled. Now they are twisting the details and making things look way worse then what really went down threw the media because they wasted time and money and putting a good mans name out there for people to stomp on. Well if it was such big bust like the media is saying why such a small amount of money was ceased? I sometimes have more cash on hand then that. Why was none of his vehicles ceased? What they did get out of it was something most of you judgmental people do yourself or have done. And they took a smaller amount then what is being put out their. We have a lawyer to check into these twisted and rearranged facts put out by both the narcotics team and media. And until his day in court only God above can judge him. You all have your right to your option and you have your right to personally judge. But Chris is an amazing person, friend, father, brother, etc... he is a wonderful man who will stop to help anyone. So while he gets bashed and talked about for something most of you know nothing about, their are real criminals out there. Child molesters, murders, and real drug dealers. All he did have was something Im sure will someday be legal, and it was personal at that and he told them where it was not once did he hide it from them. Not to mention what they put his family threw in the process. Something I would not wish on my worst enemy.

@On the Scene-- okay, I get that he had some pot in his possession. But how are you going to explain away the crack, the cocaine, and the scales etc? That's what takes it out of the realm of personal use and puts it into distribution. The cops probably received one or more tips that he was selling. Based on what they found in his house, it seems likely that this was probably true. That doesn't mean that he wasn't a nice guy who would help someone out.

If he was working for a school, then he knows that one of the conditions of employment is that you can't use drugs... much less crack and cocaine! If you want to smoke crack recreationally, then a school is probably not where you should be working. Agreed? Or is this still not at all his fault, and was caused entirely by the police?

Correct, it is where the invasion took place. But the criminals was from Charlottesville. Drugs are everywhere even in your neighborhood. Not only in low income neighborHOODS, But in high class HOODS TOO
