Guns in restaurants draw stares but little outcry

This topic never fails to bring the liberal wing-nuts out of the woodwork. The ONLY question any person that opposes the lawful ownership and carrying of firearms need ask his or herself is this; "Have I ever had to defend myself or my family from an armed criminal attack?" If your answer is no, shut up.

After reading the anti weapons information here. I would like to see these people sit in on a class for concealed weapons training.
They teach safety, weapons handling, when and where and what situation you can lawfully use your firearm. You are required to prove your ability to shoot a weapon safely and hit a target in a kill zone. I bet the anti gunner will get a eye opening experience.
There are hundreds of thousands of men and women like me that were (Government)trained for many types of nasty weapons. We know what a weapon can do, how stupid people get in trouble with a weapon they know little about,and there are many.
Personally I carry a pistol as soon as I step outside my home. I carry bullets that are more lethal then the run of the mill bullet. In a serious situation I was trained to shoot 2 rounds the chest and one round to the head. If it didn't stop the bad guy, do it again, 2 round (Double Tap) to the chest and 1 round to the head. Under a shooting situation unless you train routinely your going to miss your mark with a few rounds. Happens to the military grunts as well as police.
Thats why most gun owners have more than one loaded magazine.
I have an annual membership to an indoor range and and retired so I can fire at least 50 round once a week to keep my skills sharp. I've never fired a handgun in anger. But can't say that about a rifle. As a matter of fact I have used and qualified expert with many types of riles.

You should let everyone know also that, recently retired Surgeon General , Richard Carmona stopped a car-jacking situation from ocurring at the intersection of Grant & Campbell here in Tucson , by shooting the perpatrator to death and preventing an innocent person from getting killed a few years ago. Great shot Rich !

God Bless you..I had to a few months ago...I can tell you having that weapon saved my life...Plus it happens so fast you dont even wanna depend on anyone but yourself, you literally have milla-seconds to react. Forget 911, I would have been dead...this person had a long violent criminal history, he should have never been on the streets,thats what the state of florida does for its citizens...these liberal anti-gunners are sheep..they will be the first one to run and hide under my skirt when the going gets heated..

That's what we need in this country. A little more vigilante justice to stop the crime running rampant in some bad areas of the country. Let Obama go try and " talk " with some of the gangs that infest parts of his state of Illinois, namely Chicago. I can tell you now, the only language they know is of the .45 caliber variety.

[Carrying Concealed]

Once you read the concealed carry law in this state one has to stop and wonder why he/she wasted his/her money and time to get the permit. And any establishment that either sells or serves alcohol is definitely out of bounds.

When you eliminate the places one cannot legally carry (based on law or No Guns Allowed signs) you basically wind up with two places it’s O.K. to carry a weapon. One is a public street and the other your car; the latter considered an extension of your home anyway.

Granted no one would know a thing assuming you did not hang a sign around your neck claiming to have a gun. However, walk into a liquor store or a pawn shop around here with a coat or windbreaker on when the temp is 95 – 100º(with an equal amount of humidity) and see how much attention you draw to yourself. The fine and courteous staff of such establishments are ALL willing to help you. They are easy enough to identify – they’re the ones crowding around you with weapons and hip holsters displayed.

I have to share the great laugh I just had this morning. The State Democratic Convention is being held 5 miles from my home today. They won't allow balloons because they may pop and scare the wittle Democrats. The less funny part was that they are flying the police helicopter around the building all day at $1000 per hour. The police helicopter was grounded for the first three months of the year due to a lack of funds. Let's see: Can't fly to catch criminals at night. Can fly all day to appease scared little Democrats. HMMMMMMMMM.
