The issue of illegal immigrants living in Northern Virginia has to be dealt with and with a strong hand, the more this country backs down to illegals the more that will come. It's bad enough Border Patrol agents have been giving a blind eye to illegals entering this country, this country needs to send a strong message to illegals that they are not welcome and if they are caught....they WILL BE SENT BACK.
Illegals contribute nothing to this country, they don't pay State nor Federal Taxes but in some states they get free medical and housing aid.
My opinion is if illegals are permitted to work and live here and not pay taxes, then legal citizens should be able to do the same. Children of illegals should not be entitled to any schooling benefits or any medical aide, why should legal taxpayers pay for illegals? Illegals have to be deported, this includes their children. You come here illegal then you pay the consequences for being here illegally.

Obviously Ms. Rose doesn't have a clue or care about anything but herself and her business.....which I am sure many of us would avoid now. The day labor site was used to find work for those unlawfully able to seek work. Harlon Reece, being a former marine, voted to ignore Federal law and provide hiring services for illegal aliens. The day labor site is a huge attraction for illegal aliens which boasted numbers exceeding 125 in any given hour. Now we have maybe 30 at the height of their gathering. Most times you will see loitering as late a 6-7pm. Does Ms. Rose propose we open a shelter and entertainment hall? Goofy liberal comments and policies is why Herndon has an illegal alien problem. The problem is actually improved drastically with many Hispanic focused business barely surving.

This issue must be seriously dealt with. Otherwise, there is no end in sight regarding the infinite numbers of illegal aliens who will continue to arrive and take advantage of services they have no legal right to. If the illegals are standing around the streets, why can't they be arrested for loitering? From there, when their identity is established, they can be deported. I heard Sen. Clinton say, "if they've committed a crime, we must deport them." Okay, Senator, each fraudulant work application constitutes a felony. So, all those working with fake documents should be rounded up and deported. I've never known why any "reason" is needed. They don't belong here, so send them home. It's sure cheaper than keeping them.

Courts--for the most part, left of center judges aided and abetted by the ACLU--have effectively boxed in the ability of small towns to deal with this issue. What used to be called "loitering" is now protected as "freedom of association" under the First Amendment. Since, bizarrely,constitutional protactions have been afforded to those who are here illegally, a town can't even restrict the ability to solicit work on the sidewalks with spending tax dollars on a so-called day labor (i.e., illegal alien) hiring site. While there isn't a lot of case law on some of these points, few jurisdictions have the deep pockets to try to challenge the "wisdom" of some judges on these issues.

Having lived and been properly educated in the Herndon/Chantilly/Manassas/Fai rfax County area of Northern Virginia, I can safely say that anyone of slight color, is crazy for staying in the most racist area of the metropolitan area.
A school system that if you happen to mention you are not American tests your intelligence level, and even after you pass the IQ test with a whopping 137, they promote you to remedial classes, speaks volumes on the racists school system, the government officials, etc. The school system would rather not see someone of ethnic background take honor classes.

Mexico has a radical idea for a rational immigration policy that most Americans would love. However, Mexican officials haven't been sharing that idea with us as they press for our Congress to adopt the McCain-Kennedy immigration reform bill.
That's too bad, because Mexico, which annually deports more illegal aliens than the United States does, has much to teach us about how it handles the immigration issue. Under Mexican law, it is a felony to be an illegal alien in Mexico.
At a time when the Supreme Court and many politicians seek to bring American law in line with foreign legal norms, it's noteworthy that nobody has argued that the U.S. look at how Mexico deals with immigration and what it might teach us about how best to solve our illegal immigration problem. Mexico has a single, streamlined law that ensures that foreign visitors and immigrants are:
in the country legally;
have the means to sustain themselves economically;
not destined to be burdens on society;
of economic and social benefit to society;
of good character and have no criminal records; and
contributors to the general well-being of the nation.
The law also ensures that:
immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;
foreign visitors do not violate their visa status;
foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country's internal politics;
foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;
foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;
those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.
Who could disagree with such a law? It makes perfect sense. The Mexican constitution strictly defines the rights of citizens -- and the denial of many fundamental rights to non-citizens, illegal and illegal.

All I hear is the illegals are causing problems, hanging out at businesses to get money, not paying taxes..there is a solution to this problem..deport them..if they are interrupting businesses, call the police, call ICE. I'm so tired of hearing about all the problems they cause yet no one will do anything about it to get them out of here. If they are a problem, then solve it. I just don't understand why our government is letting this happen, guess they just want to ruin this country, which they already have, but they are putting the money in their pockets and moving from the USA so they won't have to put up with the down fall of the USA.

NoVa (at least Fairfax) is one of the most diverse and accepting areas in the Nation. GO anywhere down South, and see how accepted you are, see how "diverse" it truly is. NoVa is more like NY than even Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Delaware for that matter. I know what I'm talking about too, because I've stayed in the NYC area, and Southern VA, so I've seen the differences and similarities. So you're in Maryland now? Yeah, so accepting there. I've heard of more Klan meetings and Black folks houses being burnt down in Maryland, than Alabama. That's saying a lot. Not to mention how many Marylanders I've known who are actually racist. I've never come across that in Northern Virginia. I'm not naive, it might be a few folks here or there who are, but it sure isn't prevalent. BTW, being anti-illegal Immigration is not racist, because an illegal Immigrant is anyone who enters the nation outside of the system. How does that define a race? Not to mention that some of the staunchest Anti-illegal Immigrant people I know are in fact Immigrants themselves. Immigrants from all races, nationalities, religions, and ethnicities are fed up with having their jobs, benefits, and opportunities snatched up by these line-jumpers. I've even heard some illegals complain about waiting 14+ months for citizenship processing to go through, yet I can show you a handful of legal immigrants, and visa holders, who have waited 7, and even 10 years to finally attain their U.S. Citizenship. European Whites, Blacks, Asians, legal Hispanics, they all face the same ordeals due to a swamped system. So yeah, race really plays a factor in all of this, suuuuure. What a nice cop out that excuse has become.

The US is a tax payer based system where by taxes are collected and allocated for use in schools and medical. When unaccounted for peoples or illegals use the tax based system not allocated for them is not fair and reduces Americans and legal immigrants livabilty in the US. Americans and legal immigrants for Americans and legal immigrants. If the US were to adopt the same rules and regs that Mexico has implemented then no illegal immigrant would be in the US. No foreign peoples are even allowed to own Mexican land.
