Quote-"I hope everyone saw Barrack Obama on the View this morning. He was absolutely wonderful. It is so nice to finally have a president that is not afraid to just sit down and talk to the American people."

Oh, oh, oh. Can I get an autograph? Swoon. Swoon.

Silly.

Quote "The racism about Shirley Sherrod did not come from the White House. It came from an individual blogger who took something from many years ago and manipulated it and took it out of context. Don't try to pin this one on Obama."

Why shouldn't we pin it on Obama? The mainstream media and the Democrats have blamed George Bush for everything from psoriasis to halitosis over the last 9 1/2 years. Obama's now in charge, so we can blame him for everthing. It's only fair.

Sorry. The American people do not watch the View. But I admit that Obama makes a wonderful celebrity in spite of being a lousy leader. He needs to go into show business because that is what he is in now.

Please go to City Hall and stop the outrageous takeover of a private water system, Moongate, by our city. Moongate is regulated by the PRC, city owned utilities are not.

Stupid person. It wasnt many years ago, it was in March of 2010. No it wasnt Obama's fault, but it WAS his fault that his administration jumped on it so fast and fired her without investigating the circumstances. Now dems and MSNBC are saying Fox broke the story - which is not true. CNN and MSNBC got the story the same time and all spit it out.

My issue is this. If this idoit blogger wanted to cause controversy, he should have showed she, as a political appointee, broke the law. She brok the Hatch act..named after NMs own Senator Hatch which states: is to prohibit federal employees (civil servants) from engaging in partisan political activity

You see, the republican racists pay her salary as well as the left wing democrat socialists. She called the republicans racist and spoke badly about republicans in general. If for any reason she should have been fired, it should have been this. But false accusations of racism on her part overshadowed US Law. Because she is black.

"We have two weak candidates running for Governor. I am waiting for one of these two women to come up with something that makes me believe I should vote for them. At this point neither one of the has earned my vote"

First one to renounce their party and not adopt the other gets my vote

"I lived in Virginia for a couple of years before I moved here, and don't be surprised at anything these Confederate supporters do. In my son's history books they had it almost sounding like the South won. They want to try and convince people that the South was right."

If you're a modern 'confederate supporter' your a whacko. I'll defend your freedom of speech, but you're a whacko. By the way, the South WAS right about the issue of state's rights - but clinging to slavery was a rather dumb coffin-nail. They could have had everything they wanted if they would have freed the slaves and started employing them as equals.... instead a strong federal government won and now we're all enslaved.

Thanks Jefferson Davis et al. Jerk. We could have remained AMERICA but you just had to feel superior to brown people, didn't you?

"Anyone who was against pardoning Billy the Kid does not know their history very well. He was not the person he is made out to be in the romanticized Wild West history."----so you are saying he wasn't a cop killing slimeball? This is a publicity stunt for our Governor. Deflecting attention from his ethics issues......

To the person on July 29 SoundOff, just what jobs do you think will be freed up by the "illegals" as you call them? The dish-washing jobs, hotel room cleaning jobs, janitorial jobs, the jobs most of us "Legals" don't want to take because they are beneath us and only pay minimum wage?

How about the construction industry? Construction used to be a good job to hold. Now it has been taken over by illegal people who will do the job for pennies. All those good American jobs are gone to illegal persons.

Golf clubs
Advertisement
have sweetheart water deals and a few hundred golfers can play thanks to thousands who have to pay the new water rates

And just think, it takes about 7,000 to 10,000 gallons of potable water for each golf game. Well over 7 acre feet of water for each acre of golf grass. Farmers, who grow our food and fiber are only given three acre feet (in a good year, and those are far and few between in this drought) to grow crops that we all need.

You're right, everyone knows that Fox News and conservative bloggers are a bunch of liars. The facts should be checked on everything these guys say. They should all resign, like Dan Rather did when he reported about memos regarding GWB national guard service without checking their authenticity. But O'Reilly and Hannity won't resign because they're not real journalists, they're just gossip-mongers.

Blame the people that hire them. If nobody hired illegals, they wouldn't come over here looking for work.

Are you serious? I believe you are suggesting he was vilified. Your comment seems indicative that you are romanticizing Billy the Kid's legacy & Wild West history; hence, you seem to support a posthumous pardon for this proven criminal.

The man was a criminal and responsible for numerous murders. What kind of message does Bill Richardson think he is sending to our youth and to LEOs nationwide? He keeps going from worse to worse. So does Denish support this stup!dity too? Or is she going to stay silent like her 8 yrs in office?

This is a slap in the face to all LEOs & you're correct in your sentiments. He's trying to rewrite history.

Ben Rios has been trying to get Billy the Kid pardoned for a decade. He tried the same thing with Gary Johnson in 2001. Johnson considered it, and refused. I'm sure Bill Richardson will do the same.

From the news reports I've seen or have read, it sounds like Richardson is seriously considering it. I hope you're right & that he refuses to pardon him.

Blame not only belongs to those that hire them, but with regard to that person's gripe about the construction industry...we need to make the laws overseeing the construction industry here in NM more like those of CA & TX. Then you won't see so many "illegals" or "immigrants" being hired, but people who have more knowledge of US building standards as per each state and people that can fluently read & comprehend English (plans/blueprints, equipment ratings, etc).

It's a big problem here in NM that people try to cut corners. If the contractors were held accountable, you'd see fewer of them resorting to cheap help because they know it will come back to bite them in the arse.
