Can we have PNM for our electric provider? All we are getting from EPE is warnings through the paper that the power will go out. Is it possible to get a time frame or a warning on this possible outage?

Warning: When the smoke reaches the transmission lines they will arc and the power will go off.

PNM was going to build a generation station on the west mesa to provide jobs and electricity to the City of Las Cruces.
Proceedings had begun, and the City had invested a significant amount of money to condemn the electric lines so that the City (not PNM or El Paso Electric) would own the lines.
At the last minute our former mayor Ruben Smith received a contribution from EPE and it was announced that the City would cease condemnation proceedings.

Nice try Barney...however it was the former Southwestern Public Service...not PNM that the City of Las Cruces was partnering with on its West Mesa utility.
Then-Mayor Smith did not receive a contribution for EPE. Both the City of Las Cruces and EPE agreed to a settlement to stop the expensive court case.
City residents received a moritorium on EPE rate increases for a specified time and EPE reimbursed the city for its legal costs in exchange for the city ceasing to run its own utility.
If you're going to try to be a big dog...know what you are are trying to spew...you ignorant inbred.
