Worker dies at Marathon refinery

A contract employee fell to his death in an accident at the Marathon Oil refinery in Garyville.

I worked with Jeremy for 3 years before he moved away. He loved his family and was excited and scared about becoming a father. I kept in touch with Jeremy on a regular basis. My memories of Jeremy are all pleasant ones. There was never a dull moment when he was on the road with me. We traded stories and secrets. He will be missed and will always be my best friend. We have just celebrated Jeremy's 23rd birthday without him. I know that Dad and Jeremy are watching over their entire family; I would give anything to be able to touch them one more time; to talk to them and hear their voices although I do all the time.
