There is not one thing wrong with Falls City, its just the people in it.

You're right "been there". 30, heck 20 years ago you could walk the streets and you knew everybody. Everybody was from a family you knew since you were a kid and the VAST majority of them were good people.

Now, you walk the streets and the majority of people you see are from out of state and out of town. They do not work, never have worked and came here to hide out from their prior problems and lives.

Do not get me wrong, people from "out of town" are not all bad. It's the one's you read about in the paper and hear about on the radio, over and over again. And unfortunately, they brought many of their friends. An argument for on of their main draws? Welfare. It's pretty easy to get on it here. I don't know if that is true or not, but it is a common belief which has not been disproven.

And what has all of these fine people brought with them? Not one darn contribution to the area, except police reports and medical bills and their friends. This is not the forum to list those names and the names of their friends. Any decent person reading this knows who I'm talking about.

This IS a great town. It's just a lot of the people in it are not. Go home. Go back to where you came from. You are no more wanted here than you were where you came from.

Ok I was thinking of moving into town since I've been working here for years now and tired of the drive into town with the price of gas and winter driving. But since the same mentality cont. in town I guess I'll look for a place closer just not in town. That way you can bitch about people who work in town and take jobs from people who live in town. You can just keep all the empty houses for sale along with the empty buildings downtown since FC has never welcomed anyone that wasn't from here or you don't know the family name they have.

Yeah, that's true. Factories are beating our doors down just begging to relocate here!!!!! I heard that Toyota wants to build an assymbly plant here that would employ 3500 people, and the evil city council said "hell no". Also, Bill Gates himself was in Falls City a few weeks ago, he wanted to move Microsoft and all its employees here and build a state of the art facility. Once again the evil city council said "go to hell", "we don't want any of your money here".

Absolutely too good. Excellent use of sarcasm. Every town and city, including FC are fighting to get jobs into its city limits.

It has positive and negatives like all towns. There are more good people than bad in this town.
In case it is not known by some we are in a deep
recession and some area towns are closing shops every week. I like Wal-Mart as well as anyone may but I do try to give my business to the local stores when possible. On another subject about many retirees, many are retired farmers that put food on your table. Hope you did not choke on the food? Leave and clean up the city if nothing good to say.

They didnt want business in this town thirthy years ago . & they dont like good wages . So why shop here . Half the town wokrs in another town. So why not support them . If you go up town they dont have it . So shop Walmart

We've been closing shops for a long time. No one can afford to rent the buildings.
