more than likely he was a victum of a mountain lion.

Very possible , but wouldn't the dogs pick up the scent of his remains. My dog found a half eating deer in the same area of the missing man. I also came face to face with a large Mt. Lion near Paradise Lake we both stared at each other for the longest time. Then he got bored and turned 180 degrees and walked away. That encounter was less than 10 feet away. I showed no fear and believe the Lion picked up on that.

There is more to the story than we are being told.
Mr. Harvey treats his truck with great care. He had just had it redone and was so careful with it he wouldn't even get in it with his work clothes on.
The truck was found with severe scrapes and dents on both sides and a broken front axle.
Everyone who knows him is shocked that he would drive the truck up that fire break and are convinced, since he has a Ford Bronco II that he's modified for this sort of 4-wheeling, that he isn't the person who drove the truck up that wash.
Somebody knows something. Clearly he met with foul play elsewhere and somebody stole his truck and drove it there.

There are so many open ends and questions. The first Post article stated it was not uncommon for Harvey to leave his house without saying where he was going and with who. Now how many spouses would tolerate that? What was his mood when he left the house? What it a spontaneous, rush out the door and, if so, who was he in communication with prior to leaving? Another article said he didn't take his cell phone. How many men leave the house without their cellphone lifeline but remembered to take his hat? Did the police go through his computer to check on histories, online friends, etc., and if not, why not? Did the police or family follow the money weeks before and since his going missing? When and where were credit or debit cards used? What about phone records? Have the police also investigated this as an adult midlife crisis runaway or were they focusing 100% on him missing in the mountains?
I agree, somebody knows something or at least is withholding some very useful information.

Loren Harvey Senior was heard saying that no fingerprints were taken from the truck because they thought Loren had driven up to the woods to commit suicide.
Well, it's pretty damn obvious that's not what happened!

I truly hope they find him, and in good health. 2 weeks is a lot to endure, and the cold and wet weather just makes it so much worse.
One thing I've learned is that there are some weird and scary people living out in the woods. I hope he didn't "meet" any of those.
One thing that aggrivates the hell out of me is that STUPID LOUD VIDEO in the upper right--if you try and click on the "pause" or "volume" it makes sh!tty POPUPS fill your screen!

if you are running out the door to the market to get a beer or a can of chew there is no big deal in taking the cell phone. I'm sure he thought he'd be right back. Unfortunately it didn't happen that way.
