Yes, rentals are very tough to come by. Fast food jobs are even tougher...as (thankfully) there are no "fast food" restaurants in the entire county.
Jobs are tough here as well. The rumor is that close to 70% of the county is on some form of welfare or another, but it wouldn't be nearly so bad if the state (read: coastal liberals) didn't put such a stranglehold on Ferry County.
Unfortunately, the Seattle metro area, with a huge advantage in population, forces the more remote areas to live by their rules, even though the way of life and needs of the community are far different.
