Dissing mining? I read in the local paper the same concerns. What a warm response. I asked a simple question and get a lecture on the good mining has done for the town. I don't need the charity from the mining industry, I want clean water and unspoiled land. Your may be right, staying in California may be the right choice.
Of course people in Handford say the same thing, the birth defects and polluted water have nothing to do with the storage of radiated waste there.
Thanks for the peek at local politics. The angry of your response and the fact that you took the time to insult a stranger is telling also. Pretty bored huh?
Thanks
Hi! We moved here from the coast as has many people...actually from everywhere and anywhere you move there's always a few....well you know. There are a ton..majority ...of good people here. Love the slower pace and coffee pot always ready for any visitors which I love. Its so old fashioned. There are 5 ski resorts nearby...driving distance fishing hunting snowmobiles hiking camping huckleberry picking :) river rafting lakes could go on. Plenty of wildlife had even a moose come thru. Deer bear elk mtn goats cougers bobcats etc
Local community activities Grand Forks just over the border. Was afraid of the cold but its a dry cold and beautiful out! Hidden treasure. National Forest surrounds us so the growth won't go crazy. Microsoft people have homes here. We have seen growth here.....positive and lots of good people. Peaceful quiet .....love it! Sorry you had a bad response ....sigh....majority of people are nice its just a few. Take care! Great place to retire or people have 2nd homes here also. Oh and there are lots of people from California here...we know because they kept beating us to picking up-buying a house :) too funny we succeeded tho! Even have people from overseas.....hidden treasure. Again take care

How long will it take for the "Guy From California,(who is a dumbass! I confess!)" to wear off. If I Guy from California arrive and plunk down in some remote shack and try to keep to myself but be friendly and somewhat outgoing, but don't fish or hunt and spout left leaning weirdo ideals that might be considered whacky though I am fiscally conservative and self reliant, until all my money is spent. As long as somebody else butchers my meat! I would probably want to rent a car with Washington plates to make my grand entry to not reveal that Damn California Mall Crawling Jeep I own. Do I have to get my eggs from a dirty bird out in my yard? I am not dissing you if you have a dirty bird or twenty. But I would like to POSE as if I belong and fit in to not let my Dumbass shine! How long will it take for my "Guy from California" to wear off so I can proudly call the next Dumbass from California that shows up a Dumbass? Must I have a large collection of furry dead animals in order to have that ability? And a huge arsenal of black powder and every make of rifle on my tool bench half apart? I am not dissing you I admire you if you hunt and gather your own sustenance. But I have much to learn!!! Where is the Taco Bell?

You sir appear to be that "dirty bird" who has in fact laid an egg with this nonsensical drivel. Additionally, I'm doubting that even if you were provided directions, you could find your own tallywacker let alone the nearest Taco Bell ;)

Enjoy Cali!
