I must say that no matter what occurs pre or post this incident the fact still remians, In this country guilt is not assumed on either side, until the evidence is wayed and examined. A naive approach to what our fore fathers thought would occur. Innocent until proven guitly. Our "Peace Officers" are suppose to show by example how to uphold justice and order. No matter the circumstances our officers should be the epitimy of what is good and honest about our society, I have two daughters myself one 15 now, they've been taught to respect everone and be mindful of what they do. Maybe this young lady wasn't taught those things and her crimes will certainly need punished. However, by the sight of a full grown man "beating" a child in such a manner, I beleive this officers parents missed a few lessons on the morality of right and wrong. Guilty or not he has a extra source of rage that scares me as a citizen of these UNited States, no matter the circumstances.

This girl is a born troublemaker. Trust me, I've been in law enforcement for 23 years and I would bet the lives of my wife and 6 chidren that this girl will be back in the system at least 4 or 5 more times before she turns 21. This wasn't a shoplifting charge. This is grand theft auto by a female at the age of 15. Another common factor with behavior like this from a 15 yr old white girl is that there's almost certainly a relationship of some sort with an older black male.

I do not in anyway disagree with your expertise, if you believe what you say it is not my challenge to change your mind, my comment was not there to spark controversy only to relay the fact officers should exihibit the behavior of a society that the are sworn to protect. The behavior ween on video does not depict the behavior of my society. I do not want the officers in charged with representing my society acting in such a manor. Just an opinion sir, not a statement of fact. But thank you for your reply.

Are you serious right now? All these people commenting are actually giving this intolerable behavior the benefit of the doubt. He beat this girl like he was fighting a man his size in some sort of street fight. I have seen the video and it's disgusting. Now, if she was fighting him or trying to hurt him in any way, I would understand. He had her handcuffed on the ground and clearly punched her at least twice in the face, after using excessive force to throw her into the wall then proceeding to slam her into the ground, all the while getting a kick and a few punches in while the trainee just watched as if this was not out of the ordinary. If you haven’t seen the video, I sincerely hope you watch it. Maybe then you people will that this was an act that cannot be excused and stop taking up for this so called man.

I will even agree that a tasing (although that would still be extreme for what happened) would have been the closer to the appropriate response, but not what he did. And if you agree with what he did, God Bless You because that is truly sad.

His training method doesn't seem to give the new recruit the right message. He should be given an unpaid week off, to cool down. He gives Law Enforcement a bad image.
