Bond set for woman in Lumberton slaying

PURVIS - Bond was set at $20,000 this afternoon for one of four people people suspected of being involved in the shooting death of Bryan King in Lumberton .

amen to that. i am her mom and kept trying to tell her about this internet meeting crap. she lived there with a truck driver who was out of town. she didn't know those people. she was standing outside when it happened so yeah she is a witness but how they get she was acessory i don't know

how do u get a public defender for leslie. she says to us she has seen no one to give her legal counsel.

kat2009,there were alot of witnesses that night and the whole time we were there she was in an apartment. Someone should be able to testify for her. Contact Lamar County Sheriff's office and see if you can't find out who the public defender is and maybe call them yourself in her behalf.

Kat, Call the Circuit Clerk's office in the county where she is being held and ask what public defender has been asssigned to her case.

ty for comment. i wish someone would step forward and testify for her. she is in jail and can't even get a 10% bond.

Ms. Kat, I'm sorry to tell you this but she was in the car with the boys that did this to Mr. King. She was with them the night before to. Good luck, but your child needs help. Avery time we saw her she was messed up on pills and weed. I will keep you in my prays.
