There are enough non-drinkers and people that care about Paris to keep this from passing.

I hope you're right but probably won't be because the morals of this country have gone to the dogs in the past twenty five years.

I'm afraid this WILL pass. I'm concerned that many church-going people will simply choose to stay home rather than get out and vote. I strongly believe that making alcohol more readily available will increase crime, accidents, etc. I really hope we can work together to keep Paris dry.

Do you really think that blocking alcohol sales will do anything to prevent crime? I would bet many of the people you go to church with drink including the preacher. People that are going to drink are going to no matter what. Saying NO just makes them drive farther to get it....that is safe. Many places already sale it anyway but if Paris goes wet the city can make some money off those sales. Drinking is not going to go up at all because of this I just do not see any logic behind a NO vote?

After this fails, we need to go ahead and take all cars off the road to reduce traffic deaths, take all phones to reduce phone sex, remove all penises from males to reduce sex crimes and all lighters and matches to reduce fire deaths.... Or we can just pass it and shut all the hypocrites the MFing hell up! It just galls me that there are people who are standing up in Church, exhorting the flock to vote no and then jumping their happy ass es in the car and driving to Commerce to buy thier booze so they won't be seen. Hope so wrote: I hope you're right but probably won't be because the morals of this country have gone to the dogs in the past twenty five years. Maybe the morals are going downhill because of all the church leaders getting caught with their pants down or hands in he coffers? Self righteous punks need to get a freaking clue.

Wow, you seem like a really nice guy. If you weren't drinking when you wrote this post, I'd certainly hate to see what you're like when you have been drinking.

If that were so, why do all the other cities around here that have it, look just as run down and worn out as before. The ones being so verbal about wanting this are the same ones who'll be the best, most frequent buyers and just want the convience of not having to drive very far. It's just going to bring all the junk and trash that comes with it and any money, no matter how much or little, will be spent cleaning up, enlarging the police force, hiring more substance abuse counselors, etc. Nothing good will come of it for anyone.

You've had about 12 too many yourself. Funny how all you drunkards and bums get on your own self-righteous high horse and start in on the church and its people. EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO EXPRESS THEIR OPINION!!! Anytime a group wants to move in and start something that others don't want, there's the right to express opposition or be for it. Whichever. It's drunks like you who make it even more apparant why we don't want alchol so readily available.

I hope it doesn't pass. I for one don't mind driving to Sun Valley. 1. It gets me out if the house and away from the wife and kids for awhile. 2. I have time to drink a couple of beers whilr driving trough Reno before I get home. 3. I find the driving and drinking relaxing.

IMO this is not a morality call

IMO this is not a morality call Sure, I can and do disagree without name calling, so what. And yes, it will turn out to be a morality call/issue if it passes. Didn't I say everyone has the right to express their opinion. It's just there are certain people who, in order to justify their own choices, choose to TRY to drag God and His people through the slime. I'm sick and tired of it and will challange it when I see it. Does that answer your question?

I don't drink. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Most of the people behind the No vote are hypocrites. That is what galls me. Stand up and be so moral then go to Commerce to buy their booze in case someone at Toco or Sun Valley recognizes them. I know two personally and have said this info to their face. They have these signs that say "say no to DUI, DOA, MIP" - how damn stupid. Read the police blotter and see that we have these activities going on already. It is all just so ignorant - to say we are a "righteous" community because we don't allow alcohol sales. You people are worse than Cibil War.
