OK, a group of kids that are in a treatment facility incite a riot. I guess maybe the treatment for anger control was not working.

Glad to see that they were taken to Jan Evan's it is a good place for them.

I have firsthand experience with this facility. They are very much about taking the money, laying back and pumping the kids with drugs. The staff is lazy....the kids have gone days without being able to go outside because the staff does not want to watch over the kids. Obviously, kids go there because they have defiance issues and the staff obviously is not trained well or these riots would not be happening. I think it's sad that we trust to send our kids to professionals and then we have to be up at night worried if they are going to arrest our kids to top to the issues that we have already encountered before sending them there! WestHills is exactly the same....drugs/complacency. There is nowhere in Reno/Sparks for help. I will say that Jan Evans cares more about the well being of our childrens mental health. It's just soo terrible they have to get into the system to get help!!!! Somebody's gotta speak out.

Okay first of all, You guys don't know what your talking about! I was a patient at willow springs and it was more helpful to kids being there then being home with you 2. You have no clue what its like to be in a juvenile detention center then a mental hospital! Kids are in juvenile hall because they broke the law, fought someone, drug deals, gang members all that crap. Willow springs is for adolescents that have mental problems! Meaning that they don't have the mental capacity to know what's right from wrong. If you don't believe it ask the PhD doctors inside willow that has diagnosed us with this problem. We take the medications to help our thinking process get back on track. Were not on meds for nothing. Juvenile hall is not for a place like us, and us being suicidal, depressed, and going to drugs and alcohol for problems at home or problems that people like You cause us to the point we can't handle it anymore! And the staff members at willow are highly qualified to treat and take care of us, yes maybe there is one or two staff that doesn't care what happens but no less then 90% of staff, nurses, doctors, and any teacher in there do care, and they do anything possible to help us. If there so lazy, then tell me why is it that the supposedly lazy staff member works until midnight, or works till 6 in the morning or works on Thanksgiving, when there supposed to be with there wives, husbands, kids, parents, family, and instead the work with us kids! Your right, there is no place, but willow springs, is one place that gets us kids, that actually works with kids that have mental disabilities, with mental connection problems! We are no differant from you, you are no better then us! We are all the damn same! So don't act Luke west hills and willow springs don't work, because I've been to both and they worked perfectly! Don't believe It, then let me ask you this, why after being in willow and west hills, I no longer have suicidal thoughts, no longer have self harm thoughts, have my life back in my hands, writing a book about my life experiences, write poetry? Willow springs and west hills is the best thing to happen to me and any other patient in those 2 facilities. And I was one of the juveniles in that riot, and reasoning to the riot, was because 2 of the staff members were hitting one of the patients. So it wasn't any intention on wanting it to happen, or cuz were bad kids the deserve to be in juvenile detention, where adolescents broke the law way to many times. I hope you get the point, now that you people get the truth about WEST HILLS and WILLOW SPRINGS behavior center!

I spent two months at willow springs. I was having severe problems with psychosis and no one would do anything about it. I was miserable and for the record there were no willows or springs.

Parents don't send your kids here. It was a giant trap for TriCare, TriWest, and other military insured kids like me.
Hahaha! I remember this shit, it was all because he had a fucking red hat on (bloods/crypt)! All we heard was Dr. Strong Arm over the radios, everyone got ushered into a safety area. They took everything red and blue from me and all the other kids. They made me take off my fucking underwear and shoes because they were blue. took all my personal possessions, away I HAD NO CLOTHING LEFT! It was hell there, I was verbally abused by my "therapist", drugged to the point I almost did not feel anything by the psychologist, and overall just belittled . The only kindness I got was from 2-3 of their "guards". I remember Tony before he left, I believe Andrew Vega was another name, Lori/Tori I cannot remember, and a teacher they employed. I hated every second, I had nightmares for over a year after I left. I was there after being molested and dealing with severe depression, how did they treat it? By indicating that I was like the rest of the kids and we were all going to prison. Oh yeah and they ruined any chance of a military career, someone thought it was funny to report that I was attempting suicide in a shower... I eventually was pulled AMA from the facility for the shit they pulled there. Several outpatient facilities later to repair the damage this place caused. Don't believe the "It was helpful" shit, those are reviews from staff. Oh and my last night? I was shoved against a door by another male patient who played grab ass and said he would murder me, an "X" Marine guard being 5 feet away.
AGAIN!!! Parents don't send your kids here. It was a giant trap for TriCare, TriWest, and other military insured kids like me.
Thanks to actual help from SoCal I have gone on to do something (Not the Military, this place made sure of that). I am now a Firefighter, I spend time on my summers fighting wildfires and winters fighting structural fire. There is hope after this hellhole.

This is an excellent facility and has a track record of turning lives around. My daughter made tremendous progress there, and we are deeply grateful for the wonderful dedicated staff that worked with her. She went in after a number of suicide attempts and hospitalizations and came out a capable young woman who has gone on to college and has not made any further suicide attempts.

Track record? No it has a track record of PTSD... Like that time that there was a riot and they took all my red and blue clothes (My jeans, my socks, my underwear, my shorts, my sleepwear). Because all of us were treated as criminals... Why yes now that you ask, I remember I was there for depression, not being in a gang...
