After 3 years of b.s. with this "washoe county system" I'm CONVINCED!...its all about the money! There are thousands of people who earn a paycheck off removing children from the ONLY security they know, they're families! "Kids are marketable" in Reno. And CPS holds their heads high engrossed in their twisted definition of "harm" to really mean "we don't AGREE with the way your raising your child". The trauma both the child and the family experiences is nothing less than a communism attitude. Kid's are innocent and loving, without them, life isn't worth living. If you are a victim of this "legal" kidnapping, or know someone...please respond to this post! Power in numbers! Together we can make a change!!

I posted something a few days ago and am sad to report that I was wrong. This mess with Reno social services is horrible. Our family has been torn apart. What must my grandchildren be thinking? I suffered abandonment issues as a child, they last thing I ever wanted, or expected, was for my grandchildren to suffer through these issues. How broken hearted they must be. We are consulting a private attorney today, maybe he can offer some hope. The other day I was thinking about how this was going to be a smaller Christmas and now realize it doesn't even matter now, just having the kids will be enough. For all who read this..........mention us in your prayers, I am really, really scared of these people.

CPS doesn't care about the children of the community cause if they did they would do what was in the best interest of the children!!!!!!.... They simply need to cover their own as and they will take your family down doing it. They do not care of what you have done to make your kids the wonderful humans that they are, they only want to put your dirty laundry out and claim you were all bad. No parent is perfect but when the worst you have done was try to hold your children's lives stable is bad then I need to ask one question. If this is wrong then gives theses families support to improve their lives cause most are doing the best they can. No not the best they can... Many of these families are taking care of families and doing more work then many people will ever have to do.... If you wanna judge then ask yourself could you do what many of these families do with little or no resource.... If you were not so busy judging you would realize that that these families are doing more then you can see on the surface..... So help to the family or keep your ass in your office and feel important!!!!!! CPS sucks and they will continue to suck as long as the courts let them......

I was kidnapp by cps years ago and did not see my mother or father for 6 yrs durring that time I was told that my parents did not want me cause if they did they would comply with there orders to get me back, also during the time I was in the jurisdiction of cps I always had some type of alianment that sent me to the hosiptial I never had these problems befor or after leaving the care of cps, only during. I fanily ran away from the ficility they were holding me and went to my grandmas house where she sent me to family in another state I was so happy cause I saw my parents every week! CPS runed my child hood and get this it all started in 4-H I had rabbits and won 1st place the boy who won 2nd place had an over jellous father in the police force that wanted me out for his sons sake and called cps on my parents!!!
threw my experince of CPS I learnd if they are ever called you move out of state that day! dont wait for 2-4weeks until your kids are removed! you are thier parent protect them and get the *ell out

hello let me tell you a story i dont think it will matter what the people think but i think if you people start sueing the people that are makeing the false statements and start sueing them for there lies and and how thay need to justfy there jobe see my sister had gone threw this and the state took her children away from her yea she was young and the state woudent help her or the 5 children so what thay did was tere up a family unit thay need to be helping and teaching and not to be there hurting the famleys in washoe county and as for casa thay are a totle joke thay talke to you one way and getint court and lie to the judge and the judge have you ever been in court with a drunk judge on the bench like judge mcgee omg so what the people need to do is find a lawyer that will stand up for the injusted that is going on all thay waunt is your kids so my sister had finley reach the nevada supream court and the court said to give her the kids back and it was nevar done and there is one child that thay addopetive out even without termainted her rights bless my sister heart she is in heaven now and the three boys are in prision and the two girls went back east and talk about messed up but until the courts do the right thing sorry this will keep happing to all of us who has kids

...this whole ordeal would NOT have happened to me if I had known MY "Parental Rights". How we take parenting for granted!! So I urge you ALL parents l@@k up your Parental Rights which are backed up by our Constitution. CPS nor the Police can break the law.... Protect your family!

I thin kthsat the majority of you need to look deep with ion yourselfs and ask "what have I done wriong." As a child brought up in a disfunctional family, and as an adult who aged out and is attending school to become a social worker; I must say that the majority of children in the system are there for for more reasons than you are probubly willing to admit to yourselves. I am the first person to admit that there problems with the system, but stating that there is no need to take away peoples children, and that it makes us comunists is obserd...

CPS is not here for our Washoe County kids,the only people i honestly believed were, have let down my 4 grandchildren. They deserve a better life then to live in a motel and all 4 of them in the same bed. There is no kitchen to cook them meals, they live in filth and CPS says this is ok ! I say check on the kids that really need attention( like my grandchildren) and leave the ones that are at least trying the hell alone.

It may not be the "ideal" living condition. But they may be great parents to their children. Parents have rights to raise children they way they see fit. And since we don't come with manuals, let this family BE a family. Offer help, don't critisize and judge. God Bless them!

The key here was "MAY BE".... and if the parent was a "great" parent I wouldnt have wrote or even looked up this forum, right?

We have had run-ins with CPS due to a special needs child and they only get worse.Our son who has aspbergers, ODD, and ADD was hospitalized a few times most recently in West Hills last year.
Of course CPS opens a claim, their workers were quick to explain it would be in our best interest to make other living arrangements(to anyone with half a brain this is not an idle threat. They give you very limited chances to pick quick knowing that if you dont you lose your kid). Then if you ask them these 2 workers are quick to offer legal advice (which is completely illegal for them to do)and you are stuck with the repercussions of their actions.
In my case CPS suggested that they send my son out of state to stay with a family freind. CPS paid for the ticket to transport him out of state. He was to stay with the family freind until he was able to be properly diagnosed, leveled out on medication, and see how he did in kindergarten there. HE, and the family freind were supposed to come back after his school year to see how he did with his family. The family freind decided to keep him so she can keep receiving his disability and when I was arranging a trip out there to get him, 3 months after she was supposed to bring him back, she filed for guardianship. She had had him for a year and seeing as how CPS transported him over state lines she has more rights than i do. I have spoke to the entire chain of command at CPS they have washed their hands of my family. I even had one CPS worker say "well you have enough kids here you shouldn't worry about him". I have spoke with a lawyer who would love to go after CPS all I lack is the several thousand dollars in retainer to try to get my child back cause CPS did a job illegally. I now have another active case with CPS because my 4 year old son went out to the car at 4 am. to get his puzzle and a reno police officer saw him. I wonder how many of my children they will take from me this time? I also wonder if they take three more of them will one of their workers still say "it,s o.k. you still have one left"? I am not a welfare dad with too many kids, I am a well paid union electrician who is presently on a lay-off, not that that should make any difference but this is the real world isn't it.
