I miss Sassoon's plum henna'd asymetric "beret cut". It was cute.

All the women I see in my neighborhood have white, short-cut hair. I remember a day when they would have all been blue-hued, and put up in Spoolies at night time. As a side note, most of the men in my neighborhood have white or gray fringe, and bald on top.

Yuk, Yuk. Well, really just a condo association, but it is pretty much all retired folks. We have a couple of families with kids, but I seldom see them. The sidewalks have grooves in them from all the old folks plodding back and forth for their morning and afternoon walks. Me too. By the way, I ain't bald yet. But boy oh boy am I gray.

My hair started to turn white when I was 11yo. It's a family thing through my mother's side. I had a full set of wings and forelock by the time I was 16.

White temples which when combed back look like the wings on a viking ceremonial helmet.

They disappeared into the rest of the white by the time I was in my 20s.

What to do with a thread that's dead from birth?

Shall we do our nails?

O.K., dear. My silliness day is over. I'm gonna curl up on the couch with a book. Here's to tomorrow (he said tilting his Martini).
