homeless manís life worth 10 years?

The title of this forum is wrong. Is a "homeless" man's life worth ten years? the answer to that question is no of course, his life is worth far more. Is it not descrimination to say his life is less important just because he has no home? Why does it seem that the punishment does not fit the crime. I see countless stories of cold blooded murder by way of shootings and stabbings, both of which are usually quick and somewhat painless, but always end up with a good 25 years to life sentence, but in this case where a man is brutally beaten, the pain he endured was torture filled and lengthy. The justice system is wrong on this one. a mans life is definately worth more than ten years.

I am the victim's grand-daughter. My grandpa had NOTHING to do with what happened to him. He was BEATEN and KILLED for no reason whatsoever! So you and all of your family just needs to stop sticking up for Fultz and saying that my grandpa was the wrong one because he wasn't! Just because Fultz never hurt your family or anything, does NOT mean he wouldn't hurt someone else. I don't know all of the facts about what went down that night, but I do know that my grandpa had nothing to do with it. How do I know? Because there is proof - a tape that has the whole murder and such on tape. Maybe Fultz and the other guys were drunk and mad for something so they decided to go around beating people up for no reason. They did wrong, therefore they have to pay for it. On the tape it shows my grandpa just sleeping there doing nothing to the men, then suddenly he gets beaten and killed. So my grandpa had NOTHING TO DO WITH IT!
Oh and Fultz has not "suffered" enough. My family and I have to live the rest of our lives without EVER seeing my grandpa again. But y'all can see Fultz when he gets out of prison. So don't any of you DARE say that y'all are suffering and crap like that because my whole family and I have to go everyday without ever seeing my grandpa and speaking to him or anything. Fultz isn't dead, but my grandpa IS. HE's the one that no one will ever see walk this earth again, but other people will see Fultz outside of prison again. So all of y'all just need to shut up and quit complaining because y'all have it way better than we do. So you and your family just needs to SHUT UP and QUIT complaining!

Hey Christina, yeah my mom is keeping up on this as well. She's the one that showed me all of the comments on here. She was going to post her comments on here, but Luke (her husband) wouldn't let her cause they were too mean or something. Hah, so I decided to post my thoughts on here. She has also written to the people on behalf of our family for grandpa. And you're right; nobody deserves what happened to him to happen to anyone else. It's a horrible thing that happened and I hate that those men aren't getting to right punishment that they deserve.

and thats ok for people to kill or hurt other people? there was no reason for this to have happen or any other situation like this should ever happen. people should be respected reguardless if they have money or homeless. the homeless were once working people with homes and a good life. having any kind of addiction or losing everything due to losing your home, not having anywhere to go eventually will lead up to being homeless. and it doesnt have to be like that. its the "young street rats" that dont have respect for people, or themselves. but its their record in life, and thats nothing to be proud of.

i know your sorry for my families loss, and im sorry your family is doing time also for him being in there. what does your brother say? no ones knows how he feels but you guys. what are his feelings about what happened because honestly, no one knows what he thinks about or his feelings but him. i know only what i have read and what my family has told me about that early morning, i dont undeerstand is what was so bad going on for him that this happened? the is no bad people, only bad decisions, and both of our families are dealing with the loss of not 1 but 2 people. i only hope when he gets out that he is a better man and doesnt go down the path he once was. he should reach out to kids like him and hopefully prevent any other families having to go though this or any other situation that ends up in prison. he geta another chance at life to do better and hopefully he does.its left on him to decide.

I can not speak for my little brother. I can say he is sorry, but really what does that mean. He took a life. Not just a life but your grandfathers life. I am his older sister and can say this. He was 18 when this happened and was at the time the only parent to his young daughter, he had never been in trouble before this nor has he after. Like you i hope he learns and grows from this. I would like you to know that we are on the same page. My kids will always know that thier uncle took a life and i am not sure at this point if this is something I CAN FORGIVE. I love my little brother...but i to am a mother. I would like to say your a very strong person!!!! And i thank you for your kind words..i wish you and yours a blessed day!!!

"The two then tried to attack another pair of homeless people, but fled when a transient woman beat them with a stick, officers said."
...so they tried it more than once. It wasn't just a momentary breach in judgement. It was bloodlust, pure and simple. They deserve to be where they are. Look at it this way: At least you get to see your family member again when he's released. This man's family has lost him for good. The real tragedy is that the offender is that Fultz is going to have to explain to his daughter why he went to jail. Let's just hope he doesn't come up with excuses for his behavior. They don't fly.

You cant put a price on a life anyway!! Like I said before none of us were there we dont know what exactly happened!!! I dont think it was intentional but it was wrong and Finley was punished for it and has to live with what he has done for the rest of his life!! No one is making excuses for him but i believe he was just being a dumb teenager and things went to far!!! We all make mistakes some peoples are much bigger!!! Remember only GOD can judge him and remember what you judge on a person will be judged upon you!!!

When u say u keep badgering finleys family, who are u talking about? As for why my uncle was homeless is not for me to say because I have no clue other than life style choices he made for himself. I have 1 or 2 other family members that read all these post, everyone else are random readers.

I can't think of one Fultz that is going somewhere with their life. Including his whore mom Barbara. They are all a bunch of drug addicted, thieving and stupid scum bags. Finley killed an innocent man. Murdered him. This man was sleeping and Finley and his friend decided to beat him up for shits and giggles. PUNK BITCH ASS LOSERS. They deserve prison for the rest of their lives!

If the average murderer does 4 years, then why does someone get 5-10 for growing pot. It's ok to snap a neck, but smoking a joint is a no no. What kind of irrational world do we live in? I doubt anyone ever considers these two issues together.
Population growth.. If everyone smoked the ganja then we would all be happy and havin more babies. And there would be so many people that they would stomp out the ganja fields..

Its why ganja is a terrible crime and murder isn't so bad.
