My wife, Patricia, and I were passengers on the train that hit the pedestrian.
We heard later that all passengers were removed from the train and sent to Reno by bus.
That statement is False. We were on the train for 3 1/2 hours before continuing on to Reno.
We were never told what happened. The conductor said that there were technical problems. We had to go onto our iPhone to find out what really happened.
AmTrak would not tell us anything.

We were not removed from the train for more than 3 hours, it was getting dark outside, we only had emergency light inside the train. Why Amtrack released the false statement to the media.
First the conductor said there were technical problems. But before the conductor told us later what happened we already knew what had happened by internet.
I think all the train personnel tried their best to ensure the safty of the passengers and corporate the police investigations under horrible circumstances.
